Handy for emergencies.
I bought these on impulse and they turned out to be pretty cool! First off, they include batteries so you don’t have to go looking for them. I like the compact size and the two way switch for those times when you don’t need as much light. I put one in my spare battery box so it’s handy during a power outage. The other I threw in my carry on suitcase for when I travel. I figured most hotels have spare 9 volt batteries at the desk for their smoke detectors and I could beg for one in a dire emergency. They are pretty bright on the max setting. I may buy more to have in the car.

Powerful Enough to Light Up the Invisible Library of Abandoned Wishes
In a world where the ordinary masks the extraordinary, the Blocklite Gen2 emerges, a quiet hero in the realm of forgotten things. It sits among the detritus of life—rusty nails, old keys, and worn-out buttons—but when summoned, it shines with the brilliance of a thousand untold stories. Picture a dark basement, the domain of dust and echoes. The Blocklite Gen2, no larger than a half-forgotten promise, flickers to life, illuminating corners where lost memories and childhood dreams lie dormant. It’s the kind of light that makes you believe in ghosts, not of the spectral sort, but the ghosts of your past, the half-remembered fragments that shape who you are. With its dual mode switch, this flashlight is a maestro of luminescence. It directs its beams like a conductor leading an orchestra, transforming the mundane into a stage for surreal tales. Its 60 lumens don’t just pierce the darkness; they unravel it, revealing the hidden scripts of ordinary objects—an old bowling trophy, a dusty photo album, a forgotten love letter. Each item bathes in the light of nostalgia, every shadow a storyteller. Compact and unassuming, the Blocklite Gen2 slips into pockets and drawers, lying in wait like a secret weapon. It’s there for the unexpected power outage, ready to chase away the darkness with a steady, reliable hand. It’s there for the impromptu search under the couch, turning a simple quest for lost keys into a journey of discovery. With over 60 hours of steadfast glow, the Blocklite Gen2 is a testament to resilience. It’s not just a flashlight; it’s a guardian of moments, a keeper of the twilight hours when the line between the surreal and the real blurs. It stands as a reminder that sometimes, small lights shine the brightest, revealing the hidden depths of the everyday. In the soft, unwavering beam of the Blocklite Gen2, find not just illumination but revelation. It’s a light for those who seek the extraordinary in the ordinary, a beacon for the dreamers and the nostalgics, casting a glow on the quiet, profound beauty of life’s forgotten corners.

Nice flashlight! Works in a pinch.
These work well! Surprisingly compact, easy to use and simple on-and-off switch. Flashlight is decent for the size, and it's as simple as just lights connected to a 9-volt by its own battery terminals. Simple, elegant, usable. I keep one for work and one at home (just in case I lose the one for work).

Great product, bright light, small and convenient
Good implementation of a great concept. Clever use of the 9v battery as the flashlight body! Very bright light with 2 settings, small and easy to stow or carry in your pocket, purse, glove box, etc. Excellent value too!

Very good
This is a great little light. I would give it 5 stars but one battery was almost dead. The other is super bright with a strong battery. Would highly recommend still.

Good emergency lighting
Purchased these because I found them to be interesting and they weren't expensive at all.. put one in my wife's purse and one in my go bag. The flashlights provide a decent light, considering how small they are-- very basic but a great idea for a small flashlight that can be kept on you at all times.

Emergency 9V Lights
Perfect use for those old smoke detector 9v batteries. Why throw them away? Even though the beep indicated the battery was low, this will run for hours. They pop right on top of a 9v battery, and Presto! Gotta love it. These are extremely bright for what they are. Good quality and simple to use. Might save your life in a pinch even.

Low output, but useful
These clever Blocklite 9V cell top flashlights have low output, but in a power outage any flashlight is vastly better than sitting in the dark, and these lights will last for many hours without depleting your cell phone battery. I would like them better if they cost less and had neutral white LEDs instead of cool white. However, these lights are one of a very limited number of ways I have found to get more value from the used 9V batteries you swap out of your smoke detectors. (My only other use for partially-depleted 9V batteries is as backup batteries in the two alarm clocks in our bedroom.) Based on ceiling bounce comparisons against other flashlights, I estimate that these lights actually output about 5 lumens per 5mm LED on a fresh battery, so about 10 lumens with 2 LEDs and 30 lumens with 6 LEDs. That's plenty of light to find your way around in a dark room during a power outage, but not nearly enough to use as a general-purpose flashlight. For comparison, an old 2 x AA incandescent Mini-Maglite flashlight outputs about 14 lumens, but you can focus the Maglite's beam to put more light into a small area. A newer LED Mini-Maglite is 127 lumens, and that's actually a low output for a modern LED flashlight. The Blocklite lights are also unregulated so they will get dimmer as battery voltage decreases. But they should last for many years, and I have added these two to the power outage kit at our vacation cottage.
