Is this from Sweden or a copy, it says it's origin is from Japan?

The company Swedish. The steel is Japanese, so they moved manufacturing to Japan. It's that simple. If you know anything about steel and knives, you also know that it's some of the best steel you can have in a knife. It's Lam.VG10 steel, which was first designed in Japan. It's more resistant against corrosion and has better edge sharpness and retention. The steel they used before was German ATS34 steel, an older variety. The best steel is made either in USA or Japan.

How would you compare this knife to the Spyderco Schempp Rock?

Many differences - weight of A-1 is 30% more than Spyderco Schempp Rock and blade material in A-1 is laminated VG10 vs all VG10 for Spyderco. Blade thickness for A-1 is 1/4-inch, which is 2X thickness of Spyderco Schempp Rock blade. The A-1 blade is convex grind, which provides additional backbone to the cutting edge than the flat grind of the Spyderco. All in all, the A-1 blade would likely hold up to a lot more hard use than the Spyderco.

Question 3

So excited about my purchase,  I do have a question.  Why is there a crouck  or devit oat the bottom of the knife, Is there a use for this?

Referring to the portion of the tang that carries through and extends a short bit out the 'back' of the handle: yes it functions as a hammer, but it also goes the other way.  Use it If you need to (gently) pound the point of the knife into or through something.  Some specifications for survival knives argue that there should always be a plate at the butt of the knife that is an integral part of the tang, to be used for hammering both ways (using the knife as a hammer and [carefully] hammering the knife).  Most however seem to have the kind of tang extension this knife has.
