This is a great product, easy to use. Does a great job in coloring the lamp oil, plus you can make it as dark or lights as you like. It also nice you can mix your color and come out with different color. The video that Susan Tyson has is great, she does a great job in showing you how to mix the dye, will worth work watching. I'm just a caveman guy. What do I know? Well, I know that clear lamp oil is way cheaper than colored oil. And I also know that just 2 or 3 lil drops of this stuff turned the oil in my full-sized oil lamp red as can be. Looks great. I also know that in the long run, this stuff may seem expensive at first, but the upfront cost will pay for itself over and over again in the long term. I'm going to get the Blue and Yellow colors now too. Will probably never need to buy any again for years. WORTH THE COST...just do it. It works great.

THE PRICE is why this gets just 4 stars. On the bright side, you'll probably only need to buy it once in a lifetime, unless you use it commercially. I balked at paying $15 for three tiny bottles of colored liquid, so I researched it online. A popular E-commerce site... hell, it's E-Bay... has it listed, some at around this same price +postage, and one for four times this price ($89.96), and there's only 1 left, so you better hurry!! I didn't find it cheaper anywhere. So, I decided to use a substitute. Food color? Maybe that will work. I have some already, and I used it once 10 years ago to dye some beer green on St. Patrick's Day. It worked fine for that. So maybe.... But no, I think I might have something even better... the ink I used to refill my Canon Color Printer cartridges! I've used it for years and I know how concentrated it is. Just scrubbing it off my hands turned a whole sink full of water turn blue.... So I put a drop of red ink in a small refillable tea candle, shook it up, and it worked great, for awhile. Within a couple of hours all the color had separated and went to the bottom and the oil was clear. OK... a setback... back to the drawing board. Back to the food coloring. Same process, same results. Except this time the color leeched into the wick and turned it a deep, dark blue and there was just a little color left in the bottom of the candle the next day. So I finally bit the bullet and sprung for this dye, and it works great. I have my lamp oil in quarts, so I used a single drop to color each, except for the yellow. I didn't particularly want a bottle of yellow liquid sitting around. But the yellow won't go to waste... there's an address enclosed that will send you to a website that shows you how to mix the basic colors to make other colors. My advice? If you want to color your lamp oil, hold your nose and pull the trigger on this one. Or buy colored lamps and use clear oil.

Great product. We recently did a total master bathroom renovation. We purchased a crystal oil lamp to display on the granite counter top. We were trying to match an orange accent tile by having the dying the oil in the lamp the same shade of orange. Three drops of RED and three drops of YELLOW did the trick. Perfect match. Seller shipped product promptly and proactively followed up by e-mail after the sale to ensure my satisfaction. I'm going to show my age here, but I can remember back in the day where that kind of attention to detail and follow up was standard operating procedure for companies, or they didn't stay in business very long. Now not so much. Very refreshing to see a company with a quality product and equally good customer service. Doesn't get any better than this. Five Stars for sure!!!!

Just as described, BUT I received items rattling around in side a larger box with no protection from shaking or any movement, peanuts would be nice ... news paper evan better. All I heard was the product slapping around like ball-bearing in a shoe box. I'm just saying packing would have kept it from getting damaged. The yellow dye went everywhere... what a mess! At lease the others colors are usable. Also this app at this time will not allow me to post pictures at this time, I got pictures. Just want a good product to get to where it should undamaged. Shipping department! Do better.

We've had fun making different colors for all of the clear oil lamps we have sitting around the house. Would definitely recommend.

The colors are excellent, but the cans have a leak, it is better to solve this problem
