Nice size blade with easy to read markings so happy at first with purchase but on second day plastic under lock button broke on one side so now unable to lock in position so not a very good tape

This is an inexpensive item so you get what you pay for - an inferior product.On the first day of use, which was during the hot spell, the product label came off as the adhesive melted. In addition the tape itself does not run out easily and the end jams in the mouth of the spool if it springs back following the measurement of a short distance. When this happens it is the devils own job to extract it without using a tool of some sort. Naturally, the tape will not return automatically to the spool after a measure exceeding two metres. I bought it for a specific building project and if it survives for the project duration I shall be content. I would not recommend this tape measure for serious work over a longer period
