Works well with some caveats based on water quality
I have used these at my house with no pre-treatment, basic whole house filtration w/anti scale injection, and finally borderline overkill whole house filtration with the addition of true salt based water softening in place of anti scale injection. I am on rural municipal water that is chlorinated and rather hard coming out of a limestome aquifer with contaminants from agricultural runoff (Edwards in South Central Texas). With very hard water and some sediment you will see the improvement from removing the chlorine + chemicals, some slightly softer feeling water, and the vitamin C+E shower head does seem to help your hair and skin. That being said you will see the main body filter plug fairly quickly based on usage (days to a week) and the vitamin filter will stop being "effective" long before the beads fully dissolve due to the incoming hard water much like needing more soap/shampoo/etc. You will also still see the effects of sediment/hard water plugging the main filter, the shower head holes, and leaving the typical stains on your shower if you have tons of glass like I do. Using this setup with fairly decent whole house prefiltration + anti-scale injection (5 micron sediment, GAC, 10 micron Carbon Block, and finally a phosphate/siliphos injection filter) you will see that it takes far longer to plug and the water is much better, but not perfect. You will still see some of the effects of hard water, but the filters will last far longer and do seem to be more effective in their ability to polish the water. That being said you will still see the vitamin filter in the shower head stop being "effective" before the beads are fully consumed. Using these with my current whole house filtration + softener (5 micron, 1 micron, KDF, GAC Carbon, Sub Micron Lead/Cyst Carbon Blocks, 10% crosslinked resin in a salt based softener) they are truly amazing for a final polish on showering water. While I most certainly could get away with just using the shower head vitamin filter; I do choose to continue using the main body filter as a final polish due to my whole house setup being designed to provide very good "utility water" to my appliances with point of use having additional filters to polish the water where we actually drink the water or make ice. Being that I have rather sensitive skin this shower filter + head combo is amazing with pre-treated, soft water. I did do some A/B testing using a standard shower head vs the filter/head at all with this very clean feed water and I can still notice a difference in my skin and hair. I have also noted that the vitamin filter in the shower head remains effective far longer than without the softened, highly treated feed water. I tested this by using an old one I saved from before the softener that had become ineffective and noted that it was again making a noticeable difference after the softener/filter upgrade. In short if you can't do anything about your feed water, such as living in an apartment, this is still a very good product for those of us with sensitive skin/hair and bad water so long as you are willing to replace filters more often if you have terrible water. If you already have good pre-treatment or high quality water to start with and are looking to take your showers to the next level then these seem to really shine. My only regret is not buying the version with the hand held wand for my master bath, however, I will probably get one when its time to change filters again and give this version to a friend or family member as I already have these particular models in every bathroom of my house.

It's a great deal for the money amazing craftsmanship and your water is being filtered.
This is an amazing shower head set up... This particular shower head allows the water to make you feel comfort it's an altogether different experience than having a regular shower head that beats you up with the water this has many small holes and it shoots out perfectly in a much wider area than a regular shower head and it is quite amazing and I noticed that my skin is not as dry. I would recommend the shower head for any shower that you're using. Well constructed it's really a beautiful piece of artwork and you'll see once you take it out of the box and start putting it together it's an amazing crafted shower head it's almost too nice looking to put in your shower. This is a shower head that would be in like a five-star hotel... And it will make a great gift for anyone in your family or friends or anyone you need to give a gift to it will bless them greatly. Easy to install it made my showering experience much more enjoyable. This is a good purchase price as well. And it works so well quite amazing. The company provided pretty much everything for you to install it by hand for the most part but you should have a crescent wrench to gently tighten it down as you use a cloth so you don't scratch this beautiful amazing shower head.

Get this shower head - you won’t regret it
AMAZING!!!! Easy to install, pressure/power is spot on (not too strong to where it can hurt and not to soft to where it takes forever to get shampoo out of your hair). It ships with an extra filter. (Added bonus) Instructions are good. You will notice a difference in your hair for sure. It comes with every thing you need: filter, shower head, and teflon tape. Tape is a little thin, but it works. We know others who have this same shower head and love it. They have had this shower head for the last two years and still love it. I am expecting it to be very durable. am glad we finally gave in and purchased it. We have both have used it and thought - Wow!

Could Be the Best Ever with a Few Adjustments
1. Instructions are terrible. 2. The pieces that attach the filter to the shower head are very badly designed. If you attach the ball joint to the piece that screws Into the shower head and then attach to the shower head, it will tighten the ball joint and you won't be able to move the shower head to adjust. You have to screw the little pipe piece to the shower head then screw the ball joint on to that so it's loose enough to move but tight enough not to leak. And if you put those pieces together and then screw them to the shower head, like I did, you better have the right size threaded wrench or you''ll never get it off. 3. The shower head itself is a bad design. Personally, I think the vitamin whatever filters are silly. the shower head is big and it's about 1/2 inch deep so it holds a lot of water. And after you shower, not only does it drip for hours afterward, all that water sits in the shower head because it cannot drain properly. The rubber rings in the head itself don't do the job. The head leaks badly. And every time I take a shower I go back a few hours later, take the bottom plate off the shower head off and a liter of water falls out. 4. The shower is divine! If it were a little better made I'd be thrilled and would have given it 5 stars. Update: I took away 2 stars. I keep a bucket in my shower during the drought. I use the water to water plants. I wipe the bucket out after 4-5 showers. I tried to wipe the bucket yesterday after I watered the plants and there was an 8th inch thick layer of amber colored slime in the bucket. The more I wiped it the messier it got. It took a third roll of paper towels to clean that disgusting slime. Which begs the question, what on earth is in that Vitamin E thing? I was reluctant to buy this just because of that. I guess I was right. Disgusting. That water is going on my body. Update: after exactly 2 years water started spraying from every possible place. I wrapped the entire this in Duct tape. Still leaking and spraying all over. Too many screw in parts. Too bad. Best spray ever. Last update: I went from 5 stars to 3 to 1 and now I’m giving it 4. I got a new one. I’m still concerned about the slime mentioned above and the massive amount of water that starts falling out of the head a half hour after a shower. I bought a different shower head and it was awful. Oh how I missed the spray on the Aqua Home so my daughter sent me a new one. No leaks. Got my wonderful spray back. So final, 4 stars and all of them are for the amazing spray.

Solid purchase!
I purchased this guy a year ago but we just installed it a few days ago after having a “sick week” and extra time at home. My boyfriend had no trouble installing it whatsoever. It took him all of maybe 20 minutes? He was worried about the water pressure but somehow it seems to have actually made my water pressure improve?! I’ve only taken 2 showers with it so far and will update but I’m looking forward to seeing how it helps out with my “bottle blonde with well water” brassiness issue. Really glad we got it!!!

Skeptical about pressure, surprised by results!
I never leave reviews. My teenage daughters have been complaining about the water pressure and quality in their shower for some time. Based on my experience I've never seen a filter able to provide quality filtration without a large pressure loss. I read the reviews for this filter somewhat skeptically. It arrived well packaged in a sturdy box. Material quality and finish is very good. Comes with teflon tape, o rings and replacement spray plate. Installation was very easy, like any other shower head. And to my amazement, water pressure is really good, much higher than the previous setup, and expected (assuming it is actually filtering the water). Would recommend if it is approved by teenage daughters (TBD).

Absolutely Worth The Purchase - Transformational Product
This shower head is ridiculously good. The AquaHomeGroup Luxury Filtered Shower Head completely transformed my water pressure, and after just three showers I could see and feel a real difference in my skin and hair. Softer skin, smoother hair, zero “dry hotel soap” vibes. Honestly, it feels like one of those over-the-top, $5,000-a-night hotel suites in Las Vegas… except it’s in my own bathroom and available anytime I want. Installation was easy, the pressure is unreal, and it instantly upgraded my daily routine. If you’re on the fence—don’t be. This is one of those rare purchases that actually delivers on the hype. 🚿✨

Night and day difference in the water quality
I have recently moved to Wyoming and, after a couple of weeks two things started happening: I started losing a lot of hair, and I developed a skin rash under my arms. I changed shampoos and deodorants and nothing helped. Then I bought this filter and it was like night and day! I stopped shedding like a cat (lol) and the skin rash was gone after two or three days. The water feels different on the skin, almost like there's some oil in it - I can't explain. It's definitely softer. The installation is very simple and it looks like it's quality materials, at least so far. The only incovenient thing I noticed is that after you turn it off, the shower drips for a little while and stops; another down side is that it doesn't have a handheld head, nor different pressures of the jet. But it's pretty strong, and it doesn't change the pressure of the existing shower either. I haven't had it for a long time to say anything about cleaning, but it comes with and extra piece, so you can clean the water exit and replace it. Definitely recommend it.
