Of course, pretty much any bluetooth-compatible gamepad will work with any Android phone, and the Gear VR works with any device which works with the Samsung Galaxy phones. The nice thing about this is that it can also, without depairing it, also work with a PC. I have "upgraded" to this from an older, mini-controller, also by Steelseries (which I've deprecated to my old S7 and 2015 GearVR), while the Stratus Duo is working with my S10 and 2018 GearVR (the final model produced) **Q: My controller won’t turn on.** A: SS is absolute garbage now. Don't bother replacing it, just return that boat anchor! I purchased this dog and had to return it three times for the exact same THREE issues (wired connection, Bluetooth and buttons). Try another brand. **Q: Compatible with Rocket League on Steam (windows)?** A: For windows 10, be sure to install the steelseries driver on the manufacturer's website. Update the firmware if necessary. Once completed, you MUST restart your machine. Then once the controller is connected via bluetooth, it should be recognized as a 360 controller. Thus, it will work on steam. I've tested on rocket league and it works great. **Q: will this work for my ipad mini3 ios 8.4? can u play modern combat 5 with it?** A: Yessir. Good stuff good stuff I promise ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost a perfect controller, until… *by K***L on September 10, 2022* EDITED 10-2024 (Since I wrote this review I haven’t had any problems with this controller, so I retract my prior statement. ========= Original review: This is a really good controller. It has almost everything you could want in a controller, but there is one really big problem. If you let the controller completely lose its charge then you will not be able to use the controller for almost a day if not longer. This wireless controller can hold a charge for a really long time. You can use it for several days on a full charge and never have to plug it in. The charge lasts so long that sometimes you forget that you have to recharge it occasionally. It’s hard to tell when the charge on the controller is running low. This is why it’s easy to forget to plug it in occasionally. This wouldn’t be a big problem with most rechargeable devices, but with this controller; if you let it completely lose its charge, the controller becomes completely unusable. You can’t just plug it in and start playing again. It’s not like an iPhone or most other rechargeable device; where if you plug it in it’ll turn on again after a few minutes. If you let the charge on the controller completely run out then you can’t use it for almost more than a day, if not longer. You simply have to wait for it to recharge, which can be very frustrating. Because of this flaw it’s easy to come to the conclusion that the controller is broken. There are YouTube videos that suggest that if you open the controller and simply unplug the battery and replug it in this will allow the controller to work again, but the problem with this solution is that if you open the controller you void the warranty. I have not tried it so I don’t have first-hand experience with solution. If this is true, A simple reset button with a cut off switch between the battery and the circuitboard with the save a lot of players time and heartache, but unfortunately the manufacturer has yet to show the intelligence to do this. Until the manufacturer fixes this particular problem I would recommend that players avoid this controller.
