Q: Is this a type a light bulb? i have a vintage desk lamp and it requires type a. it looks like it. i don't need dimmer light.

It is a standard sized base. Like most all table lamps.

Q: I'd like to try these with a music stand light that will be used for hours per day. Do these bulbs present a blue light hazard?

I'm not sure. Blue light is great for daytime use, but for prolonged use I would use a bit warmer. 3000 Kelvin if available, but bright in perceived watt output.
