I read all three of these books in about 2 days, and I gave it 5 stars because I would read them again. NARRATOR TIA RIDER SORRENSEN Sometimes when I see it’s one narrator in a dual pov I get a little disheartened because it takes away from the story at times. HOWEVER this narrator did soo well and I listened thru all three of these books with absolutely no issue. If she was narrating anything with a dual pov I would read it. I would recommend her for anything. SOME SPICY CHAPTERS Book 1 Chapter 8 First O Book 2 Chapter 3 Trying Again Book 3 Chapter 29 Wedding Night Book 3 Chapter 40 Mile High KINKS ORAL SHOWER SEX MILE HIGH BUILD UP THINGS I DIDN'T LOVE That it ended....kind of...I'll be reading the rest of the series. Also, early on I know its not the cheating angle, but I wanted to throw the book at him at certain points. THINGS I LOVED I loved how deep this book went into the characters and the story and how they all got to show a side to themselves. The way she did world development was complex but also easy to follow. I loved how once he fell for her that was it and she was his, and he stopped at nothing to make her whole again. STEAM TO PLOT I actually like the plot in this story. Where there was steam it was really good, but the plot is what made this book for me. I liked the back story and the world building.

This book was heavy. One thing I will say is definitely check the trigger warning before you read. That being said, it was great reading Alessio and Ayla’s love start to form and develop. they’re actually acting like a couple and getting to know each other. After learning about their trauma in the previous book and everything they went through it was great to see them actually be happy and find comfort in their significant other. Overall this was another great read and after the way this book ended I can’t wait to see where the story leads next. I can tell this series will be a five star series for me. The plot is engaging, captivating and it’s beautiful to read Alessio and Ayla be vulnerable with each other.

Alessio and his Angel. I loved reading The Mafia and His Angel part 2( Tainted Hearts Series). I loved the characters, plot and storyline. There are triggers. brutality, rape repeatedly. Some of it is hard to read. It ends with a Cliffhanger!

Dark Mafia for the Win! I️ am not sure how anyone would give anything less than a five star rating- I️ was blown away with this book. A deep connection to the characters, a valid love story and the brutality that is the Mafia....perfection! I️ thoroughly enjoyed how the characters had a deeper love connection- more on the artistic side than those of most Mafia love stories. Most hold the alpha role to the tee but this one exceeded my expectations! Their loved seemed deep and it pulled me in! Alyas story unfolded with part two and it was brutal! I️ found myself gasping as I️ turned each chapter. Time was passing by and I️ caught myself holding my breathe! Brutal seems to be an understated word to describe what she went through. I’m still a mess about it. (Let me add that it’s my favorite thing and author can make me do- feel that intensely). Alesssio seemed to find out more of who he is. His transformation was a slow burn but with everything else that was going on, it was needed. Just the right about of changed happened with him. His faith in Alya was beautiful and he made me love him even more. Ohhh Alessio. Swooning over here- Hard! All in all- this book was top notch. I️ liked part one but part two was a hard win! I’m beyond excited that we won’t wait much longer for part three. What will the talented Lylah James do to us?? Happy Reading Peeps, Nic xo

I loved every single minute of it from the heart melting love between Alessio and Ayla to the devastating moments that took my breath away. This story completely wrecked me. So many hidden secrets and lies are revealed that will leave you gasping for air. “The darkness never truly leaves you. It’s always there, waiting for the right moment to strike.” The. Freaking. King is back and taking no prisoners, all will pay the price. I love Alessio so hard. We get to see a softer side to him in this book but don’t worry his monster makes an appearance as well. I actually love all the men in this book with the exception of one. If I could do physical harm to one fictional character it would be to he who shall not be named. Alessio will get his revenge and vengeance and I will enjoy every bloody second of it. “Bloodshed. War. We were all going to bathe in blood until one family would be left standing.” Ayla has finally found her happiness, freedom and love she deserves. But she still carries a secret that could destroy it all and the guilt consumes her. In the beginning of this book we get to witness the growth of her and Alessio’s love and it is fierce and beautiful. Just when my heart is content it was ripped from my chest when the unthinkable happens. I was definitely surprised the story so bravely went the direction it did. “I had just found my heart; I wasn’t ready to lose it....How does someone live without her heart?” This story gutted me over and over and the end broke me further then I imagined possible. I’m hopelessly in need book 3. I need more Alessio and Ayla. Who will pay? Who’s blood will be spilled? Will everyone get what they deserve? I cannot wait to find out. “Death. The monster roared, and this time I unleashed it. I embraced the darkness inside of me. Because this was war.”

Loveddd this book. Some people might note love it, because it’s pretty dark. But I loved everything about it. I love the relationship Arya n Alessio have. I will be honest is that I think Alessio has really softened up, kinda miss him being rudish n bossy. I do prefer the first book over this, but this one is still great.

Secrets… Lies… Betrayal… Heartbreak… Love… Steamy Passion… and so much more. It’s an emotional roller coaster with twists and turns you don’t see coming. It picks up from where part 1 ends and throws us back in the deep end, where we are when swept up in a whirlpool (most likely made from your own tears) until you’re drowning from the cute, heartfelt moments to the high drama obstacles/traps all our beloved characters fall prey to. Although the majority of the story is centred around our favourite ship, Aylessio (Ayla and Alessio), their story is not the only story that is told. Our other favourite Russians have their own spotlight as well as their own trails and challenges, they experience their own heartbreaks and triumphs. Part 2 shows us the dark side of the war between the two families and the people of either side… James shows us the ruthlessness that gave Alessio his reputation. It’s a gory story of a man in love, that spends so much time trying to convince himself that Ayla, this incredibly sweet broken woman that appeared out of nowhere and somehow managed to slip past his defences and find a place in his so called cold heart, means nothing. However, it’s not only Alessio that turns dark; it seems that Ayla wasn’t only his shining light in the dark but also to our other beloved Russians. After all there’s truth behind the saying ‘you don’t know what you have until it’s gone’ James doesn’t sugar coat or brush over certain situations and she certainly doesn’t skimp on the details. She knows just how to tug at our heart strings and play with our emotions with this brilliantly written and well implemented plotline. Lylah James creation is a masterpiece full to the brim of tears, drama, blood and gore, betrayal and most of all… devotion. The plot twists are like a punch to the gut but they only further the drama and excitement. Then there’s the cliff-hanger ending that leaves you on the edge of your seat craving more. All I can say is not only am I already rereading part 1 and part 2 for the 20th time (Which only took a couple of hours for part 2- I just couldn’t out it down) but I can safely say that the countdown for part 3 has begun even though it’s a bit premature…

This is one of the best mafia book series I have read. Keeps you interested right from the start, if you don't like cliff hanger ending them maybe not for you.

This was such a great book, it had so much emotion and the perfect balance between too much and too less. It was written in an amazingly professional way that I couldn’t take my eyes off of it great romance too.

And Alessio is back!!!! He's everything, he's all she needs. If I could pick up one single word to describe this second part of Alessio and Ayla's story this world be NEED! For them Needing each other is more than an obvious dependence. NEED is the keyword of The Mafia and His angel. It goes above everything, it gets under their skin, owing their soul, mind and body! Is the highest level that feeling could ever go.It real, it's deep, it's constantly burning! Honestly is one of the most intense story I have ever read.It's build on scars, pain, tears, fear and revenge. But somewhere under these huge stones, there is a small light called love, it will grow timidly at first, until it became stronger and stronger. Until it nurse all the scars away. I LOVED this book, hardly and deeply. It makes me breathe and a second later it took my breath away. The main characters, Alessio and Ayla come from a different kind of darkness, but fate got them together. But the past is always there, following them, hunting them, challenging at every step they take. Part 2 ending left me breathless, it broke my heart, but I'm not giving up. My heart is broken in million pieces now, but I'm sure that that incredibly talented lady of Lylah James, will pick up the pieces put them together and make it beat again. The story is really emotional. And both of the characters made me cry a river! Waiting and craving for the final part of this story.....
