Quality sound
Best sub on the market for 200 bucks. Over 250 bucks you can look for options. Update** one month later, sounds even better and after tuning this thing it hits very hard and accurate. Using one sub in a 3.5cu ft net ported enclosure with 41sq in port tuned to 32hz. My port area could be 20% bigger but its fine at 1200rms. If you are using 1500 to 2000rms power then def use a 50sq inch slot port area to avoid compression.

my new sub nraimlllll
i knew it would sound better than what I was use to, (single Alpine R12 in truck and single Alpine R 10 in thr wagon) my trucks 12 sounds really good. but this 15 is insane compared to what im use to. I always thought 15s were deep but didn't hit hard. I don't even have in proper box and it hits so hard that you can't breathe. And they are way under priced in my opinion. I now have an American Bass Elite 12s for my truck and selling Alpine.

2 15’s
Been in car audio for 10+ years I had the xfl before and got these. These are very deep and loud. Shakes everything around the car Would definitely buy again . Better than kicker Cvx and any other brand I’ve heard .

Liked At First, But Didn't Last
I have one. I installed it in a custom fiberglass box (1.7 cubic feet) powered by an Alpine MRV-M1200, which should be perfectly matched to this speaker wired in parallel for 2 ohms. I had the amp's low pass filter on about 70 hz. I broke it in slowly running it at 1/4th gain during a six hour road trip. I waited several weeks commuting to and from work daily before raising the gain to 1/2. I drove it for about another month, and then I took it out to compare with the two Rockford Fosgate P3s I had in before and left the P3's in as I got busier at work. I just put this sub in the car again and after running it at half gain for a while decided to turn it up to 3/4 (approximately 900 watts rms). This time, I also have a subsonic filter on it also. It sounded great and deep, but I noticed a lot of noise from the woofer. Upon taking it out, I see the lower spider has separated from the voice coil. The upper and lower spiders seem to be different materials. The lower is a very traditional material but appears it was stiff and brittle where it attaches to the voice coil. I'm disappointed. It's almost $200 for a sub, and it never saw its rated 1200 watts RMS. It only saw medium duty for a couple of months. I just used some epoxy and some e6000 clear flexible adhesive try mend it. Plan to put it back in and send it (turn the gain up to 1200 watts). Maybe next I'll try JL.

Huge magnets and great craftsmanship. I have 2 of their 12" subs ...
The XR series from American Bass is an impressive woofer. Huge magnets and great craftsmanship. I have 2 of their 12" subs at @1ohm being powered by an American Bass VFL4480 at half gain and the sound quality is aggresively deep and precise. I dove in to American Bass (after only running jl audio) for my recent system in my 325XI and can not be happier with the quality. This is bang for your buck people.

American bass all day !
really good subwoofer I've had it for about a month now and fell in love with American based products eventually I will get a American bass amp also just to try out, my old subwoofers were Power Acoustik mofos and these blow those out of the water when it comes to true SPL with a bit of sound quality also, definitely worth the price all I have is two of these and I am perfectly satisfied, only problem is now I need to upgrade my power electrical system in my Honda Civic lol
