Progresso New England Clam Chowder Soup, Rich & Hearty Canned Soup, Gluten Free, 18.5 oz (Pack of 12)

I love clam chowder and the brand I have eaten for more years than I can count, all of a sudden the taste changed. When from excellent to just plain blah. I decided to give the Progresso brand a try. I had to add a little salt, some fresh ground black pepper and a pat of butter but it was very good after that. Needed a little "doctoring" but made a satisfying lunch. As a senior who lives alone quick easy meals are a must! This fit the bill, was thick with just the right amount of clams that were not tough or rubbery and was not at all salty, as I added a little sea salt. Great value as well. I am pleased with my purchase.

I never liked Progresso soup until I tasted this. It is so good and mine is good till next year so I’ll enjoy it all winter

This has a very good taste and texture. I like to have a few ready to eat meals on hand, and this is one of my favorites.

Ok. Still as fair amount of salt. But I don't eat them. They make up a decent lunch for a guy on a GLP-1.

love love love the flavor of this stuff. don’t get me started about the hater’s. it’s the only flavor of soup i get from progresso, way to expensive in the brick and mortar. i found an excellent price from a vendor on this site and ordered 2 cases. at first it was going to be a couple months to receive delivery, but im a patient man and i was willing to wait. 1) to see if i’d truly ever receive the product, and 2) for the price: play the game!then i received notice of delivery in 2 weeks! now we’re talking. then the two cases came to my door! they were taped together, probably to guarantee that what happens to one case will surly happen to the other, s m a r t, lol. because guess what, three of the cans were pierced and leaking all over the two cases. there was such a mess i couldn’t tell where the culprit cans were in the mix until i got them inside ( and it smelled bad! it’s B.C.B. for goodness sake ) and washed them off and i could set aside the three cans in question. i was still to far in the happy zone that i received them at all. i figured this has to be simple and called up right away and asked CS to credit me the three cans and i’m good to go. mister Bot was super kind and issued that credit right away. with that all done i started dreaming of the times when i’ll grab a can from its reserved spot in the soup cabinet and begin to add fresh veggies, rice, fully cooked chicken, more bacon, fresh broccoli, basic spices, heat it all up on the stove then pour it in a real big FW bowl were i’ll put much more cheese, because cheese is life. cover it up so the cheese will melt and serve this inspired very hearty soup with avocado slices and sour cream and any cracker of your choosing…….……BAM…… mikedrop!!!!!!!!

I recently had an arduous 5-hour ordeal of a service person installing some equipment which was quite stressful. A few hours into the stress I had to have something to eat to replenish blood sugar and lift my spirits, so I decided to open a can of this Progresso soup which was in my pantry from a recent purchase on Amazon. I had never had this particular "model" of soup from Progresso, but I loved their other soups, especially any that feature wild rice. WOW! Was I delightfully surprised when I sat down and had my initial spoon full of this yummy concoction! It was so warm and tasty and soothing, I immediately began to feel rejuvenated, calmed, and up to the ongoing stress of the installation that was taking an unfathomably long time to complete. I have since bought the soup several times because it not only was so tasty and soothing but it left a very positive impression in my heart and soul, and now each time I enjoy some Progresso soup I relive the comfort and soothing that I experienced with my first serving of this delicious soup. It is not only great-tasting but is nourishing and not overly salted, like so many canned soups. It literally tastes and smells "home-made." Thank you, Progresso, for your quality products! I am a lifelong customer, for sure! :-)

Another favorite Gluten free soup. Taste great!

I purchased this for days when I was ambivalent about food. It was tasty, quick to prepare and soothing. But proportion of meat/veg to broth was disappointing. I think next time I'll add a scoop of rice or noodles so it's filling, too. But nice to have on hand for sick days, etc.
