Lovely Frame!
Every year for my husband's birthday, the kids and I make photo frames for him with kid artwork and pics, the year and how old he is. Kind of like a scrapbook without the book. He loves them! This year I went to several stores and got frustrated because all the frames were either hot pink or lime green, or all the pics went the same way. I have horizontal and vertical to accommodate so this just didn't work for me. When I got sick of shopping, I came to amazon. Low and behold, this frame was perfect for what I needed it for. It was easy to put things in, take them out, and hang. No complaints. It is the same quality frame you would get at target or wally world, without the hassle of trying to find it on the shelves.

REVISED DESIGN FIXES PREVIOUS PROBLEMS, BUT... WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!
I almost didn't buy this frame because of all the review complaints about two issues: 1) Photos didn't fit properly into the openings unless you trimmed them on two sides, which sounded like a real inconvenience, and 2) There was only one mounting bracket, so you could only hang the frame in the 5 portrait photos/4 landscape photos orientation. But after reading reviews of the Adeco collage frames in about this same size, the Malden seemed like the better of two flawed designs, so I ordered it and I'm glad I did. The frame's design has since been revised to correct those complaints, but there are still some issues. Here's what you need to know:PROS:1) 4x6 photos now fit without trimming.2) Two sets of mounting brackets now let you hang the frame in either orientation--five landscape/four portrait or five portrait/four landscape.3) The frame is now a single piece of molded, matte black plastic instead of wood. I think it looks fine--you wouldn't know it wasn't wood without actually handling the frame--and, quite honestly, at this low price point, real wood construction would have to be of cheap, low quality. I have no doubt that the plastic will look better and be more durable over time, which is why I list it as a "pro."4) Malden continues to offer real glass panes with wonderful clarity (no greenish tint) which are a huge advantage over the highly reflective plastic panes used by Adeco.5) The tabs to hold the one-piece back in place are the best I've seen on an inexpensive frame. There are many of them (this is good to keep the entire back pressed flat!) and the tabs are held in place with small Philips-head screws. Just loosen the screw a bit to slide them easily to the side and remove the back--then slide them into position and re-tighten the screws to hold the back in place. You CAN slide the tabs without loosening the screws, but you'll find they're VERY tight--best to loosen the screws first. But remember they're plastic and be careful not to over-tighten them later and strip the threads.CONS:1) While there are guide tabs that make it difficult to misplace a photo in it's opening, it's still possible--and if you do misplace one, you won't know it until you've reassembled the whole frame, and the one piece back will not allow you to adjust one photo--you have to take the whole back off again.2) Even when placed properly, the photos have a bit of play--maybe an eighth of an inch--in any direction. If your photos are borderless, this isn't an issue. But if you have white borders, you might see a bit of white border peek through if the photo shifts towards one direction or another. This happened to me, but I did find it possible to tap on the frame and get the photo back in position without disassembling it again.Because of these cons I deducted one star, but you could hardly ask for a better frame at this price point. And I'm always impressed when a manufacturer redesigns a product to address consumer complaints. Well done, Malden! Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope you find it helpful in making a buying decision. I do try to answer questions posted in the comments section.

Great picture Frame for a collage
This frame is awesome. Sturdy. Glass to cover your precious photos. Easy to load the photos in, no need to tape them to get them to stay. It’s purrfect for my kitty cat collage.

Decent frame
This is a decent frame made from plastic and glass. It looks nice hanging on the wall once you've dealt with its two shortcomings:1) The tolerances between the cardboard inserts on the rear of each picture frame and the frame itself are incredibly tight and a nightmare to work with. I suggest that you take them out one at a time and place them beside the frame in the exact orientation that they were in originally. It's like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. I used a small jeweler's screwdriver to help pry each insert from the frame after bending the holding tabs back as flat against the frames as I could get them. Replacing the inserts is just as frustrating as getting them out. If you're only going to put one set of photos in this frame then you should be able to deal with its tight tolerances.2) The frame comes with a single mounting tab that only allows it to be mounted on the wall in the 5 portrait - 4 landscape orientation. Would it have killed the manufacturer to spend the extra 2 cents per frame to put another tab on it so that it could be mounted in the alternative 4 portrait - 5 landscape orientation? Apparently so...One other thing I noticed about my frame is that one of the landscape frames was slightly crooked as compared to the other frames. It's not a huge deal, but it is noticeable to a perfectionist, such as myself. :)

My favorite picture frame yet
I've bought bad picture frames, cheap picture frames. For the price, this is a great frame and my favorite yet. It uses actual glass (not a sheet of plastic like the ones Adeco sells) and it actually fits 4x6" completely, no cutting was required. I "assembled" this frame in under 5 minutes and it was fun to put the pictures in, not frustrating at all. Everything fit, everything worked. Originally I was worried that this frame would be too small. As long as you dont expect it to hang alone above your giant fireplace, it's actually just right for most situations. Just be aware that it doesn't come with nails to hang, but most people have those handy anyway. Order this now. I'll be buying Malden frames again.
