Philips Viva Collection Toaster, 950 W, 1 Liter, INOX, Black/Silver [Energy Class A]

Perfect for my needs! I returned the Breville I had ordered as it was too large and also got dangerously hot on top and sides due to all metal casing. This Philips however, is everything I need it to do for one! Sadly it is not readily available in UK and it came from Spain, but it arrived in under a week, (earlier than promised,) came with a UK adaptor and works brilliantly! Totally recommended! Oh, and the metal casing does not get hot and burn your hands!

It does come with a EU wall plug and an adaptor. Works very well. Can fit one slice of sourdough. Two slices of bagel or slices of toast bread.

When placed in the kitchen cabinet, it looks luxury, appealing and very beautiful. However, it does not toast evenly. When a standard bread loaf is toasted, its top edge remains soft (un toasted) if you re-toast by putting the loaf again upside down, you will end up with top and bottom edges being toasted very well but the middle part being well over cook. To use this toaster, you need to by very small pack of bread that had little loafs, or cut the standard loaf before toasting.

Good toaster, easy to use and very functional

One of the few toasters that allows to toast long slices of bread, which is why I bought it. However, it's impossible to get the toast out without getting burned if it's not a standard height sandwich slice.

As it seems in common with most toasters today, it is not deep enough for standard UK sliced bread, so leaves the outside edge untoasted. Also quite unpredicable for how well subsequent slices will be toasted after the first.

Does seem like product is for Euro market. Did come with an adaptor for the moulded 2 pin plug (pretty Bulky). That I can live with but with bread sticking out of the top in the toasting position means its a bit of a useless product.

I have had this toaster for six months and it appears to be rusting.
