It was easily twice the price of the next most expensive similar unit. As the previous reviewer stated, there was hope that this meant it was in some way better. Not so much. My one-star rating takes in to account the price, which is $260 as I write this.So the obvious question...the lights. They are bright and the specs do say just under 94 watt TOTAL (both lights) together. This is significant for LED lights. You can switch the lights on and off individually but note that the power cord is a Y cord, so while you can dismount the heads separately, they aren't going too far. The power cable is hard wired in so the two lights are not going to get more than about 18" apart. I cannot speak to lifespan or changing colors over time as I have used them for about 30 minutes at this point. So are they $260 bright compared to other dual light tripod mounted lights at $100 on Amazon and at Home Depot? Put simply - NO! You could buy two sets of practically any other dual-head light and get more total light out of it.Construction is where this really falls short. It is basically Chinese quality crap. The knobs are all plastic and obviously delicate - and I fully expect to have duct tape on them sooner rather than later. All of the screws are in cheap spot welded on nuts made from cheap steel that I can already see stripping just from hand-turning. One of the three legs uses a plastic friction lock to adjust for uneven ground - a nice idea - BUT - out of the box no matter how hard you lock down the mechanism the 8" leg part just falls out. Yep, it will not work brand new out of the box. I have to go drill a hole through it and stick a #10 machine screw and lock nut through it in order for it to stand up. This will obviously eliminate the concept of it being adjustable.In all honestly there is a 90% chance I won't drill the screw hole and instead just ship it back for a refund.
