Saregama Carvaan Tamil Portable Digital Music Player (Cherrywood Red)

I purchased the Hindi version and I fell in love with the collection, then purchased the Tamil version. I love this collection of classic Tamil songs of my youth, bringing back old memories and nostalgia. Overall for the price, I cannot find anything wrong but I wish if the manufcturer could do some fine tuning of the software to search for songs, replay a song or make a playlist of songs. Adding these featureswill make this and other Carvaan product much easier to navigate.

Very strong system. The best selection of songs!

Got it as a gift for my husband for Father's day! The previous reviews really helped us to buy this product - like many said in this day and age you cannot 'like' a song or 'Add it to your Playlist' BUT it looks very retro classy and you can easily navigate to each folder and listen to their songs!

Awesome product.. my parents love it.. I got one for myself and my parent in-laws too !Only thing is you cannot directly go to the song you want .. need to scroll through everything.. will be nice if you could do a favorite list ..will take you on a time machine ride 😊

Pros- They have a good collection of 5000 song.Cons:- The device has very basic functionality, they gave a headphone jack to plug headphones, but can’t connect Bluetooth headset or speakers to listen the music from this device. They have given Bluetooth to play songs from my phone on this device, but the reason people buying this device is to hear old songs from this device, so that music can be streamed to my Bluetooth headphones or speakers. But it’s disappointing they don’t have Bluetooth streaming feature- No sleep timer. I like to hear old music when I am going to sleep. So I like set sleep timer, but I need to wake up middle of my sleep to turn of this device- No power button in the remote. I can’t turn off/on this device from the remote.- No play / pause button on the device- the stations options is very basic, it just has stations by Artists. They should provide more station options, like play all Old Film songs, all devotional songs, all catnatic , happy songs, romantic songs, etc.

The product was as expected from the website and having known the product from seeing it earlier.

I am living my old memories with this radio. All classic songs from various time periods and artists are preloaded. Just plug n' play. The 80's Ilayaraja songs will take you back in time.

Good product however it should have a better user interface for choosing of songs and better display with more info. Sound quality is mediocre at best, in saying this I really enjoyed listening to the seemingly endless supply of golden oldies
