Even scribbling steel. It just is not made well for prying or pulling. **Q: Is it made in china?** A: Does ot matter. A nice high quality. Pick. Our pro shop. Has. A. Handfull of them **Q: What can I scribe on with this anything ?** A: The tips are relatively hard. the temper of the carbon steel is high which is why they have limited use for prying. so, you may use these to scribe any thing harder than steel(aluminium, brass, tin ect...) .
