Best ever gift
Great delivery time great price, great product, great packaging ,and overall good experience. I would buy it again. I bought it as a gift for my daughter for school and she loves it. The need for no battery and water restart were the selling factors for us. It is durable and lovely. Easy to read and comfortable to wear. Good buy. Amazon is a registered Citizen seller that was the selling point for us. Normally I buy only through jeweler but when I called Citizen up and asked if this was real they said yes it was a done deal. Buy enjoy and feel confident you bought a good investment for your time.

Elegant yet distinctive
I purchased this as a gift for my daughter and was concerned that the face would be too small based on other reviews. While I have progressive bifocals, it is the perfect size for an average woman/teenager's wrist. I can even read the date window in a well lit room/area without any issues. The face is easy to read and has a second hand (not sweep as this is quartz/solar). The hour markers and hands have luminous markers that glow pretty well once exposed to light. My daughter especially likes the band and said it looks pretty with the gold and brushed stainless. She was worried about a high polish stainless showing scuffing as she knows it will happen. Note: this watch is plenty large for women with larger wrists. While you can take it to a jeweler for $10 (or free if they're nice), you can purchase a $4 watch band kit and never have to visit a jeweler again. If you do, get one with a hammer and drift pins. The screw/twist ones break/bend the extraction pins easily. This band required removal of 6 links to fit my daughter's wrist (average size) and the pins holding the links together are split pins with a flanged end holding it in place vs. just friction (that's a good thing). It does not have any collets on it's links like some watch bands. Very easy to add/remove links if you have a drift pin/hammer set up. I especially like this watch has a 5 year warranty (longer than Seiko), is a solar charged watch and is prettier than most other brands even those costing 2-3x as much. Everyone I've ever talked with loves their Citizen. As this is the first "nice" watch for my daughter, I'm sure she'll enjoy it for at least 10 years barring a catastrophe. When she is older I'll get her something much nicer with a sapphire crystal. Meanwhile, I expect this one will be every bit as nice until that day comes.

Beautiful, powered by light, won’t collect & sell your data!
I’m delighted with this watch. I decided to de-tech my smart watch, which didn’t tell me anything novel and sold my data. I love that the watch doesn’t need to be recharged (it powers via light), tracks time and date, doesn’t interrupt me with notifications, and doesn’t collect and sell my personal info. It’s beautiful, as well. Thank you, Citizen & Amazon!

Ok, no batteries!
My favorite watch for many years has been my ebel mini wave water proof steel & gold with black diamond dial, very light weight and just wonderful for all occasions. But every two years it required a battery costing anywhere from fifty to most recently sixty dollars and a several day stay at the jewelers. I would then resort to wearing my heuer dive watch which is quite large and cumbersome. This year when my ebel needed extra work requiring a longer stay at the jewelers I decided to look for another watch and I found this watch on Amazon. I like it very much. It's medium weight, waterproof, has an easy to read dial, looks great and best of all no batteries. All at a very reasonable price. An all in one watch! I definately recomend this watch. Just a quick update. I would still recommend this watch but the date is impossible to read.I also find the dial difficult to read in certain light such as dusk etc. That is when I find a black dial is superior.

Lovely
Besides working perfectly, this watch is so beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised that it glows in the dark - not only the hands but the dots marking the hours, too. I just love it. It nicely compliments my golden jewelry. I had first bought a watch that is all gold tone but this one looks much better next to my golden bracelets. The watch band was too long for my delicate wrist so I took it to a jewelry shop and had it shortened. I highly recommend this watch.

Very nice watch!
This watch is attractive and the combination of sliver and gold toned metal band allows it to compliment most outfits. I really like the larger numbers but find that the date numbers at the 3 position are difficult to read. I had to take the watch to the shop to have four links removed as I have thin wrists (6"). It is still slightly loose but removing one more made it too snug. As it is winter, the cold can make watches and rings fit more loosely so I opted to leave it a bit loose. It is not so loose however that it rotates on the wrist. I usually wear Timex watches as my every day watch since I can be hard on them. I have found that their Easy Reader with Indigo to be very good. That being said this watch has glow in the dark hands but barely. It would be better if either the hands glowed more prominently or it had the capability to light up the backdrop of the face. People buy watches with larger numbers for a reason so that should be considered when dealing with other features such as the date and the glow in the dark options.

Beautiful, keeps good time, and NEEDS NO BATTERIES, only light!!!
This is a beautiful, two tone (silver & gold color) stainless steel watch and watch bracelet. Since I am very advanced in age (86), I had to wait quite a while to find someone who could remove the extra links from the bracelet, as well as someone with the time and patience to take me there. The jeweler whom I first visited (Feldman's in Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY) gave me the business card of a watchmaker only a few blocks away, who could easily do the job. Tuvia Goldstein, the watchmaker, removed a few links from the bracelet, one at a time, until it fit comfortably. He charged me $10. Now, I can actually wear the watch and enjoy it! The only downside is that the date is not always readable. Update: GOOD NEWS! It took only one day for my eyes to discover how best to read the date on the watch. I can recommend it enthusiastically, after all!
