So, I was walking in the mall one day a few years ago, and got stopped by a nice man who wanted to style my hair. I had some free time, so I allowed him to. He used this exact product, Herstyler Classic Forever Ceramic Flat Iron. I had never used anything on my hair, other than a curling iron once and a while. I am not a fan of curling irons or flat irons because the right look has always been hard for me to achieve. I can never make all the hair appear like a professional styled it or that natural effortless look. Plus I did not want to take a chance and damage my hair. So I was a skeptic. After a few curls he created, I was hooked! I did not want to buy this product at the mall because it was retailing for $200 at that time. I found it on Amazon for about $40 at the time. I bought it and have been using it ever since. It is easy to hold, does not get heavy. Has easy temperature adjustment. I did drop it a few times and a small corner piece of the ceramic broke off. I still use it and it works great. Also, I was putting Moroccan oil in my hair then using the Herstyler. I noticed that combination was damaging my hair and staining the ceramic plate. It gave the plate a rusty burnt color. I stopped using the oil and my hair has been damage free since. Keeping the iron on a medium temperature setting also helps prevent damage. The higher the temperature the faster your hair sets, but could cause damage. Do not redo a piece of hair several times. One time should be enough on the piece of hair you are styling. You can touch it up briefly a second time, but I do not recommend more than that. I only use the Herstyler to create waves and curls, not to straighten my hair. I do not know how it would work to straighten. I finally recently broke down and bought a new one. It was even cheaper this time around on Amazon! It's light enough and small enough to travel with. I still have my old one as a back up and travel one. I do not know how other Flat Irons rate, but this one is great so I do not feel the need to look for a different one.

Because of my schedule, I usually shower at night right before bed. Unfortunately this leaves my hair looking a little challenged come morning. I have fine, straight hair that comes to just below my shoulder blades so the best way to fix it in the morning is by flat iron. My old iron was bought at a regular super store and did not do a great job of taming my hair plus it had metal plates which I know are pretty damaging. After reading lots of reviews I ordered this item and have been incredibly pleased with it. I use it on average 4 days a week and have been doing this for a number of months. It always heats quickly and works efficiently when used. My hair stays nicely flat all day. Even now in winter when I can tend to have awful dry hair stick ups, I feel this keeps things looking good. For the price this is absolutely amazing.

This is my favorite brand of straightener!! I have naturally curly hair and this always leaves my hair straight. I usually use it to curl. This is my 3rd straightener I've bought from the company. The only bad thing is the plates are fragile. I occasionally drop it on my bathroom tile (on accident) and the plates crack. The straightener still works, but hair gets caught in the crack. Such a good deal though for the price!

I love this Flat Iron!!! I bought this Flat iron in the mall for $120 and I fell in love with it. In my opinion this is by far the best Flat iron I have ever tried. The Flat iron I bought at the mall lasted me about three years, I wanted to go buy another from the mall but I didn't wanna pay all that money. I recently started to buy a lot from amazon so I decided to look for it and I was sooooo Happy that they Had it here and I was definitely amazed and surprised it was only $20 !!!!! So I decided to take the risk to buy this item, I thought it was gonna be a cheap knock off. So I got it in the mail and I tried it out and It was the exact same one ! I was amazed. Looks the same I compared it with the one I bought at the mall and they are the same. The only bad thing about it is that It doesn't come with the bag to put it in. The bag Helps it to store it in your purse while the flat iron is still hot. In overall I love this one I bought from amazon With one pass to the hair, your hair will be perfectly straight for the whole day or even the next day too. And I can say You will have no Frizz whatsoever. I tried it on my friends super curly hair and it works perfectly she loved her hair and the straightener.

My teenage daughter decided to throw my 18 year old herstyler flat iron in anger, and broke the plates. I was devastated. That flat iron never lost its heat. But I was so excited to see that they still make the classic design here on Amazon! And for 1/4 of the price I paid so many years ago. It can straighten, and curl if you know how to use it that way, and the controls are simple the way I like it. A small dial for the heat, and an on/off switch. Both are out of the way so you don’t accidentally turn it off or change the temp. I use it almost at the highest heat setting and it’s ready to go within 1-2 minutes. So if you are looking for a reliable, fast heating, easy to use flat iron, I can’t recommend this one enough! Who knows how long mine would have lasted past these last 18 years if my child hadn’t broken it!

Herstyler Classic Forever Ceramic Flat Iron I got this flat iron on recommendation of someone who purchased at kiosk at the mall. It was much less expensive here on Amazon, but actually it is such a good flat iron that I would have gladly paid much more. I have now 3 flat irons... one gold n hot, one titanium, and now this one... The ceramics iron is so much better. My hair is as straight and bouncy as when I go to the salon. After 1 pass, my hair is silky straight. So I can flat iron my hair in about 20 mins. It used to take an hour easily and then the hair would be stiff and smell burned. Not anymore!!! Now I can wash my hair and pull it back with just a tiny amount of argan oil. Let my hair AIRDRY (means less heat on hair) and then flat iron with no other products. My hair when air dried has a waves and curls and this iron just straightens all of that out... ONE PASS. My hair smells wonderful (not burnt) and it looks and feel so healthy. And it is straight... swinging and bouncy straight. I finish my look with a dime size of hair serum to give it a bit of shine. The end. :-) I hope they will not stop making this flat iron because I don't need to go to salon anymore. I don't know what to do with my other 2 metal irons. I never use them anymore. Now I just need to get the herstyle mini iron to get the hairline better. Also, I have tried to curl with the flat iron.. and I just can't master that. But I love love love the flat iron.

I purchased this tool for travel to Europe because it is dual voltage (the straightener I use at home is single voltage and I didn’t want to have to use a power converter in addition to the necessary plug adapter). However, this tool has a few problems for me that prompt this review. First, the temperature control is a small knob located between the “arms”, with temp markings for a low of 180 and high of 460 degrees, but it’s difficult to tell what temperature you are setting as the indicator is extremely small and there are no number markings between those high and low numbers, and the indicator on the knob is very small. So…I dialed to what looked close to my usual 400 degree setting, did not get the heat needed, turned the dial until it stopped, presumably at 460. I was afraid I would burn my hair at that temp but it did not get super hot. For the price, it’s probably worth keeping but it is just okay.

Fast, versatile, effective, affordable. What more could a woman want? I love that after years of curling irons making curls in my hair that only last 2 hours, is over! I no longer have to put chemicals (hair spray, mousse, etc) in my hair to have a curl last literally all day long (actually, up to my next washing), just as well for straightening. I get so many compliments on how shiny and soft my hair looks after using herstyler. I love having the natural feel of my own hair. I actually first bought Herstyler when it first came out at an insane price of $200. Even back then, IT WAS WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD! Everyone that i have loaned it out to, ended up purchasing one for themselves. A woman that has thick crazy curly hair borrowed it, and upon returning, she swore she was going to marry it! You can use it to straighten but my favorite way is using it to make long loose curls for an elegant but very natural look. I even use this on my 9 yr old daughter's hair cuz i can control the temperature, which makes it safer, and i know that it wont damage her hair. Plus she likes that i don't have to use hair spray. It takes about a minute to heat up, or less. I can put all of my long hair, which is past my belt line, in soft loose curls in less than 15 minutes. How can a woman not love this product! Dont let those store brands fool you! They are just ceramic coated. For around the same price, you can get the real deal!!!
