But after about six weeks, it started acting oddly, and would not hold a charge for more than a few hours. Then when out of town, without warning, it totally failed. I went to a local battery store in Florida, where I was visiting, and purchased a new battery. The new battery I bought in St. Pete has worked fine ever since. I do not know if the battery I purchased from Amazon was old or simply defective, but I caution others to tread carefully when buy phone batteries on line.
