Do these reach into the wood 1/2" or 1/4"?

The length of the entire T-nut is 1/2" and the barrel is 3/8" long.

Has anyone's used these with 23/32thick wood opposed to 3/4"? Small difference, but making sure. At 3/8th long barrel, can't imagine an issue.

Works fine. Just built a 12x12 foot wall out of 23/32 with around 750 of these tnuts and have not had a single issue.
