Great product and love the storage box
People need to realize that if you abuse somethign even if it is the highest quality and you are using it wrong...it will break. If you are careful then this kit should last you forever. Aluminum is not steel, but there is a reason the rods and other parts are made of aluminum so you do not scratch or scrape of chunks of the barrel or any other part of you gun...aluminum is soft and will not do damage to the gun if you are being careful....the kit comes with everything you need and i suggest getting some Gunzilla cleaning oil and lubricant bc it is environmentally friendly and less toxic odor smell....The outers kit is great just use your brain when you clean a gun and dont fly thru it and you wont break parts of this kit...after all i would rather have an aluminum bar bend or snap instead of taking out a chunk of my gun ( not only for looks but for functioning purposes since that can be very dangerous depending on where you take a chunk out of the metal on your gun at...it involves physics and I am not a physics teacher so just go watch Hickock45 on youtube if you care to learn about that.

IMPRESSIVE GIFT FOR A GUN LOVER!
Probably the coolest item I have ever purchased on Amazon and I buy everything on here. It's not only well made with quality materials (cedar wood), someone actually put a lot of thought into the design. The gun rack arms detach and are stored under the top lid so as not to take up any space in the unit. The materials included for cleaning are also impressive. I paid $8 for one brush elsewhere but they have included a drawer full - great value! I'm impressed!

Nice little kit
Not quite perfect, but it gets the job done, and a little more. Other commenters have stated that they wouldn't use the rifle rest, and I am inclined to agree. The pictures are extremely flattering, but this is certainly not the hardwood deluxe kit it would like to be. Instead, it's a convenient, easy-to-store, fairly inclusive gun cleaning kit. Pro - doesn't look half bad at a distance, carries brushes & jags for most calibers, extra storage space is a HUGE plus since now I have a place to keep extra bottles of M-Pro and a few hundred patches. Cons - not terribly rugged, forget the rifle rest, and mine did not come with a .40 brush. Not a huge deal breaker for me since in a pinch one can always just ram a .45 down there (so long as you don't care about the finish on the inside of your barrel), but if .40 is your caliber, you might pick a different kit. On the whole, I'm quite satisfied.

Buy this for the box and convenience, don't complain about the accessories.
This is a great box to hold all your gun cleaning and gun oiling equipment and supplies. Don't buy this and complain about the quality of the accessories included. Buy this as a nice wooden box that will sit on top of your workbench and give you easy access to all your stuff. Good value for that. Put your own supplies in it. Also has a clever set of cut outs to hold a rifle for cleaning. (Not so useful for pistols/revolvers though.)

Nice starter kit.
Bought this for my grandson's first gun cleaning kit. I added some items to it that were specific to the calibers / gauges of his guns. Overall a nice starter kit. The rod is solid brass and good quality for a kit of this nature. One item I didn't like was that the drawer does not have any way to keep it from coming open by itself when carrying. It's a minor thing and an easy fix to add a little lever to swing out of the way when you want to open the drawer. Also, the standards to hold the long guns are stored in the lid. Nice idea, but they take up more room inside the case when the lid is closed than I would have thought. This made it tough to store the other items since it reduced the available volume inside the case. Your storage needs may vary.

Outers 25 - Piece Universal Wood Gun Cleaning Tool Chest (.22 Caliber and... Outers
I read the reviews, looked at the pictures and thought, how bad could it be. I'll guess now, looking back, --the positive reveiws are due to being a gift from "mom/wife". However, actually knownig what this should be, purports to be, --I'd never gift it. I'd be embarrassed to do so. It looked used to me. I took pics, as I unboxed it as I usually do, and was going to post them, but figured why? Again, to me, it looks used, poorly handled prior to packing, --not aged, used! Aged oak look? No, not to me. Cheap, badly handled, dinged up, and beat up, --to me, yes. I looks like it rolled down the basement stairs, --"a g e d"? Again, no. There's a big difference in distressed, aged, crafted wood and a "way" to get by with dinged up, soft, poorly finished wood. I say that, since I would love an "aged, repurposed, sun bleached, old oak, barn wood" box. I'd pay twice this price point for a finely crafted piece like that, --this ain't that. It's a cheap, sloppilly put together, light weight box of nondistinguishable wood-like material, with a drawer that will fly out since not fastened, stopped, frictioned in any way. Moreover, the box itself, will otherwise fall over upon opening the lid (no it does not stand up like in the pictures in this listing, --it flops back, all the way over without stops, taking the box over with it. So, first the drawer flew out, then flopped back, slamming back in when flopped over from the lid. Again, seeing the splash of stain inside the unfinhished inside, and other poorly stained front pieces, dings and chips, just left me speechless wthin five minutes of unboxing it. The wood, "made", handle, is completely misaligned. This is for folks with precision fit, 0.0001 mic'ed firearms, maintenance? Or even combat tolerance, grade weapons? The inside has a large splash of stain, --no not finished inside; someone with a brush got careless it would seem. The Latch was bent, so once open, the very first time, --I could not close without bending the lock tab straight allowing it to do so. The plastic form for the TOOLS in the drawer, is thin packing type tray material, --not what I'd call a quality drawer organizer for the brushes, et al., for a Firearm. There are large numbers in black marker on the drawer and box, --I mean large, "#48", --assuming matching the drawer to the box, but with what seems was wrote with one of those large grafitti type, black ink markers more than 1 x 1 inch. It's light weight, poorly put together and a real dissapointment. If you're a "gun-smith" of any kind, living life 0.25mm at a time --this will give you a stroke to own. I don't get why it's just not made as it I thought it would be, described to be. If the OEM can't make a profit at this price point, double it for the description, --I'd be glad there was anything out there I could by for a $80-ish price tag for a quality aged oak firearms cleaning storage box. It makes me wonder if this is *really from "Outers"?

The quality was not what I expected for the price, and it came in a box with a price of 59.99 dollars!

Veramente comodo da usare per qualsiasi arma! Per carabine a aria compressa non si possono pulire solo le 4.5

Molto solido e ben costruito. C'è tutto l'occorrente per la pulizia di tutte le armi, salvo l'olio lubrificante/pulente . Arrivato puntualmente. E' di marca e non è una cineseria
