This Monopod is GOOD and it's more than a monpod
I take a lot of wildlife photos (frequently with a telephoto lens) and many times it is impractical to carry a tripod into the woods on a hike and this monopod solves helps the problem in a number of ways. - It extends and locks anywhere from its collapsed length of 21” all the way up to 72” (higher than a standard tripod) and this makes it so much easier to use the cameras viewfinder and focus without bending or hunching down to camera level on a standard tripod. - The quick release head securely locks the camera into the monopod. It’s easy and fast to break out the monopod, extend it, and snap the camera into the mount if the subject you’re looking at might move away. - The 4-section leg is STURDY. I can extend the sections to make up any length I want and the locking mechanisms are strong. - At 10-ounces it’s incredibly light. AND HERE’S WHAT ELSE IT DOES: because the monopod has a cushioned grip and a wrist loop and the leg is so strong and rigid, I can easily use the monopod as a hiking stick. There’s no need to carry it separately even though it comes with a carry bag. I only wish the tripod and monopod designers would agree on a standard quick release head. As it is, the heads on my two tripods and on this monopod are each different. If they were all the same, I could quickly switch between tripods and monopod with no fuss. But that’s something the manufacturers will have to work out between them. Bottom line: I love this monopod!

Unique multi purpose monopod.
Great device for someone who wants a light adjustable walking stick for hiking on trails and also a 6 foot or less monopod for taking telephotos. Although not heavy duty, it appears durable and strong enough for all but the most dedicated mountain hikers who need something that supports a lot of weight (I am 170 lbs) or a camera with a very long and heavy telephoto lens. Camera attaches and detaches to and from the monopod quickly. Similarly, the monopod adjusts quickly for hiking. Unique rubber tip and sharp metal point that also adjusts quickly while remaining on the monopod. The monopod comes with a bag and cord which allows you to sling the monopod over your shoulder when not using the walking stick for balance. Great "bang for the buck."

You get what you pay for.
Over all, you get what you paid for. This is a very light and compact monopod. The extendable segments of the pole itself move smoothly for ease of adjustment but the top camera anchor is terrible. The shoe that mounts to the camera is very loose when it clips in to the top of the monopod. Both front to back and lateral movement are a proplem when you are expecting a somewhat stable shooting platform. It does make a passable walking stick though. Save your money and by something better, you won't regret passing this one up. It's inexpensive and if all you need is limited functionality this might be ok.

VERY Nice Monopod for the Money
Purchased this 72" Monopod for $15 from ECost and fulfilled by Amazon. I was expecting junk due to the low cost but I now see that it is a great buy! It actually comes in a retail box instead of wrapped in a gob of plastic like most stuff you get on Amazon nowadays. I like that. My first impressions are real good about this. PROS: 1. Good quality construction. Everything fits tightly. 2. Nice and Sturdy. Very little flex in the tubes when fully extended. Various components all seem to be of a heavy enough gauge.to take normal wear and tear. 3. Nice foam grip! 4. Great 72" height for us tall folk! 5. Easily can handle a medium weight DSLR. No problemo! CONS: 1. A lot of the construction is plastic so it will fail sooner or later but the gauge is heavy so it will probably take a beating okay. 2. The D-ring on the quick release head is small and difficult to access for us folk with big fingers. 3. Found just one REAL FLAW in the construction though. It is where the head attaches to the metal leg tube . This held together with just ONE tiny self-tapping screw. (see photo) Totally inadequate! And to add insult to injury the person in China who assembled it placed the screw too high on the sleeve and missed the metal leg! The head just falls off! A 'normal' person would probably send it back as defective but I can fix that easy with some epoxy and 2 screws properly set in the head/leg joint. An elephant won't be able to pull it apart when I'm finished! LOL I would give it 5 stars except for this one fault. SUMMARY: I really like this monopod! I'm sure it will work just fine. I could break it if I wanted to but I'd have to work at it. OH! For you that wonder about the spike tip ... you can rotate the rubber boot down to cover it ... so your Linoleum floors are safe!

Good Product, Great Price
I really like this product. I have used it a few times, and it is very sturdy. The height is very good and adjustable for whatever you are needing it for. It is taller than me (5'9") when it is as tall as it will go. The only thing that is a little annoying is the connector, the piece you turn is a little difficult and gets stuck sometimes. But it really isn't an issue because you can just turn the entire piece to connect the camera. For the price, this is a great way to stabilize your camera.

This monopod is the best, lightweight
This monopod looked like exactly what I needed, but after using it off and on for about 1 1/2 yrs, it has become unstable. The "quick connect" feature can no longer hold my camera & lens steady. I have tightened the screw on the connector to the point where I'm afraid it will strip the threads. Also, I have tightened the adapter that fits the bottom of my zoom lens, to no avail. What happens now, is that immediately after I have focused on a subject, release my grip on the lens to snap picture, the lens falls about 1/2" and I miss my shot. Extremely frustrating. I feel the monopod was misrepresented to me. The connector and adapter are made of plastic and they cannot hold up to even minimal use. The connector should have been constructed of metal. I would never buy from this seller again!

While I have had my Pro series 72" monopod for only a short while and have had only limited usage I would like to share the following. I recently purchased a Canon sx70 hs with an extremely powerful zoom. I wanted a monopod that was good quality, light weight, carry bag and with important features like a quick release lever so could remove camera quickly. I also wanted clip release levers on the tripod leg and not the screw type. I researched many different monopods but decided this monopod met my needs and was good value based on my needs. I would currently rate this at 5 star.
