Obsessed
Our pup is obsessed with this!! We play it twice a day for about 20 minutes at time or we go outside to play. Chasing and retrieving is life for our doodle. I found that when using tennis balls they get wet and don’t go as far so we have about 40 tennis balls and use each ball twice before moving on to the next one. The other thing is that many have stated it quit working after a bit. That happened to us. After two a day play time for two weeks ours started to get loud and slow down, to the point that the balls shooting out would bounce out about 2-3 feet away. Then it just stopped working. So I was going to throw it away and buy a new one. Like I said our dogs obsessed. Once I saw again how much I paid for it, I was not about to do that. So my son in law took it apart and found the two motors had collected all this dark hard melted plastic (tennis ball fuzz) and some un-melted tennis ball fluff that had been collected from all the tennis balls. Which explained the EXTRA long fuzz on the actual tennis balls as well. Had to use pliers and tweezers to get it out, wiped it clean, put it back together and it works like new. We are now using smooth plastic, rubber or foam like tennis balls and let me tell you no issues but they fly even further and we just need to wipe them down with a towel after each use or they don’t go far.

mediocre, not quite what was expected
I do like how it was accurate about the distance of the ball launch launcher. It is very loud and gets louder the more you turn up the dial. The spiky ball sometimes gets stuck in the blue cup on the little crevices. I am worried about dirt and saliva buildup with it not being easy to clean. The noise alert that you're supposed to be able to turn on does not work when it's supposed to. Sometimes the ball catches in the mechanism and you have to push it through. If this item had been not on sale, I wouldn't have got it or I would've returned it for what it is listed as. REVISED the spiky ball was destroyed after 2 days, and the tennis ball will not go farther than 5 feet, i've tried chuck it balls and it doesn't go any more than that either, i honestly can't see a use for it after only a week of having it

Too noisy for my dog.
It's very noisy, which scares the dog away.

The machine is fine, my dog is broken!
The machine itself works just as it should! It is easy to use - you or the pup are simply supposed to put the ball in the top "hopper" & it shoots it out. It has "legs" underneath so you can adjust the pitch of the throw. It is louder but not obnoxious, totally tolerable! My 1 year old dog is OBSESSSED with playing ball so we bought this hoping he would learn to play ball with himself after we are done for the day (because he is NEVER done!). Sadly, he doesn't feel he should be the one to put the ball back into the hopper for a new pitch & feels he is above that & that his humans should serve him. Good product for normal dogs, not ones like my entitled boy lol.

It was great -
The product was wonderful and provided fun exercise for our dog - while it worked. We bought it in October of 2024 and used it a few times until the weather got cold, after which it was stored in our garage until summer of 2025. Upon using it this summer, we noticed that the male part of the plug had retracted into the plastic body frame of the machine. The only way to turn it on now is by installing D batteries. The machine that was once able to launch 45 feet, now struggled to launch 15 feet. Moreover, the motor is now louder and despite turning it in the OFF setting, the launcher remains ON if the ball distance dial is not turned to the far left position. Regretfully, I would not recommend this product if you are looking for a reliable ball launcher for your dog.

Great ball launcher
This is a great product. I love how if the dog is trained. It can drop the balls itself unfortunately, my pup had an issue with the Sound of the motor(it is not loud at all) but my girl is reactive in some noises she can’t handle so I did return it. I wish we could’ve kept it. Some might say a little pricey. In my opinion it’s not unreasonable. It’s a great product. Very easy to set up.

Really glad I went with this one…
Product is awesome. My dog is still learning how it works and currently teaching her how to put it in the bucket top. She was a little afraid at first but has sniffed it and puts her nose in the wholes when it’s off to explore it. I’m glad I went with this product instead of the others cause it is a better product for training a beginner on these machines. The other products were a little more complicated for a dog and pricier for the same outcome.

Machine works best with its special design orange solid plastic balls
My dog loves this machine. She is a full grown black Lab. Some advice about this machine is don't buy ANY other ball than the ORANGE plastic ball that is made specifically for this machine. That specific ball gets thrown way farther than any other ball that you can try. Just bit the bullet and order spares. Also if your dog likes to bit down really hard on balls be prepared to constantly have to squeeze them back into the round shape so they go back into the machine. The balls are hollow so I recommend picking them up after you are done playing with your dog to keep them from destroying the ball. They are hard hollow plastic and can take some abuse. The 12 volt adapter didn't last but a couple of months and I had to order a new 12 volt adapter. For me this machine works the best by setting it in a chair or in my lap where I can angle the machine to work to the best of its capability. It throws the ball farther. Plenty far enough for my dog. I highly recommend having more than one of the orange balls.

East we found was the humming puts our dog off from actually approaching the launcher, but if your dog isn't wound up by hoovers, you should be ok. Bear in mind, the condition of the ball will determine the distance and angle of the ball, as you can see on the video. Whereas the weight of the ball will determine the distance, outside of the launch speed and angle of the unit. Although not the distance launcher I was hoping for, it does get to the bottom of my small yard which is around 14meters from launcher to wall. Another point was that my unit came with an American plug, not a problem for me, but it is something buyer's should be mindful of. Lastly, the hopper is quite big, but not convinced it is for stacking more than one ball, as more than one has the potential to get stuck, this could be solved had the tray design incorporated a sorting aspect. That said, we have had a total of 14 balls in the hopper comfortably. When multiple balls are in the hopper, there is a potential for the launcher to launch more than one ball. We found this was down to weight and size of the ball. Lastly, the 'beep' that sounds before the ball is launched is not loud enough when the launcher is on its highest setting, as the sound of the motor drowns it out. It stops working altogether if you are feeding snobbery balls back into the launcher. A good indication of snobbery balls, is when the launch angle/distance drops.

I've seen a lot of ball throwing machines that were quite a bit cheaper and the reviews weren't good. Most reviews were it stopped working when the balls got wet and they were more hassle than they were worth. I have two 100+ pound dogs who can get more spit on a ball than you could believe so I had to go with the expensive one. It is made in America which to me means quality. I live in Canada and there was an import fee of almost $28 on top of what I paid. My fingers were crossed it was going to be worth it. Well, my dogs just love it. Spitty balls keep flying out the end and if we didn't turn it off they would chase the balls forever. It's easily adjustable up and down for the launch angle and easy to set for distance. I thought the sound was kind of low, but the dogs can obviously hear it because they know when it's about to launch. Well worth the cost for a solid product. I would definitely recommend it.

Very good standard tennis ball machine. Unfortunately the plug was a two pin so it wasn’t suitable for use here. It looked very good from the video on the description page and will be great fun for dogs. However we couldn’t use it and it was returned.

On the positive side, although this comes with a US power supply, a US-to-UK adapter was included - the power supply is rated 110-240V input, so that's fine. The two balls that are supplied are quite light, but even so the launcher struggles to throw them more than 20 feet, certainly not the 40 feet advertised, even on full speed and the with the foot double-extended. If you push the balls in with some force they do go further, but the whole point is that the dogs can use it themselves (supervised, of course). With the foot extended the back of the hopper is almost horizontal making it harder for balls dropped in to fall into the launcher itself. Whether or not this turns out to be a worthwhile purchase depends on the dogs (a young Border Collie and scaredy-cat Rottie) get used to the noise. It's not overly loud, just a heavily greared-down motor running all the time, not just when the ball is dropped in.
