Review: Very versatile large capacity SSD - I'd always recommend everybody to upgrade their spinning system disks to an SSD. You get many benefits of performance especially as a system disk. In my case, I already have a 512GB SSD as my system drive, but I'd added a 1TB HDD as a data disk. Unfortunately, I found the spinning disk made my PC noiser and produced vibrations. (Not to mention issues regarding seeks times etc). For under £80, I removed my noise issues, and resolved performance issues at the same time. I've been through many SSDs in my time, and I can say this WD is really good. You just need a spare SATA cable for data and power. It all worked straight out of the box with no drivers or additional software installation required. (I use Windows 10). Overall, I'm very happy with this.

**Q: Does this come with free cloning software?**
A: I think so (on their website), but you seriously shouldn't be purchasing any WD Green storage options anyway. Sequential write speeds on them are famously low. I just got a new Samsung 970 Evo drive and it's literally 10x faster than this Green SSD.

A: i dont know about the thing you asked about but it will work with this DTech Slim USB to Hard Drive Cable HDD SSD 3.5 2.5 Inch 22 pin SATA to USB 2.0 Adapter with Power Supply LED Indicators External Converter for Laptop Desktop Computer SATAIII Disk Data Transfer.   as an external dive so if it works like this i would assume it would work as well.

**Q: My pc has a i7 8700k with 16 gigs of ram with a nvidia 2080 graphics card and already has one of these 1 tb ssd in it. Cab I install 1 more?**
A: Almost certainly yes: you may need to purchase a cable to connect it to the sata port on the motherboard, and go into the bios to update the settings and ensure your primary drive remains the boot drive

This is the second one of these I have bought, and it works OK. Don't expect lightning speed boot up with Windows though, especially if you have a lot of software installed. Even if disabled in startup. I keep one as my main drive, and use the other one for doing backup clones to. Something it does a lot quicker than Sata to Sata.
