I usually put a double spoon full in my first cup from this device. You can clearly see how much is in it and the colour of the tea before decanting. The lid is a good size so there's never any issue putting tea leaves in. Pouring is a really pleasant feature. Set it on top of the mug and the tea comes out and never a leaf in sight. Cleaning is where it comes into it's own. Emptying the used leaves out can be done in a few seconds and a rinse and/or wipe with some kitchen roll and it's good as new. The lid is removable if you feel you need to take it away for cleaning. The little base to stand it on is a nice addition.
