I lived in Jerusalem for a little bit and fell in love with the dates you could buy at the "shuk." I had a friend that could try them all and swear which was the freshest. I bought these instead of other brands with lots of reviews because 1) they were the only review where no one complained about finding bugs in them 2) they made it clear it was a small family thing from Palestine, which I want to support. I'll be honest, when these came they were very hot from shipping, I tired one and was disappointed because it was just goop. I let them cool down and tried them again and the texture is back. Good dates IMO will have a little bit of a give in the skin but once past the skin will be like (I guess, lacking another thing to compare it to) the texture of a turkish delight with little grains of sugar you can feel on the tongue. If you think I'm over-thinking thing, I'm not, dates are serious business people. In the US I've become more used to dates that have much thicker skin and more body on the inside. They're not bad, they're just different from what you'd get in Jerusalem. And I've come to associate that with authentic. I really have no idea how fresh these are because I don't understand how my friend knew, but I guess I don't care, I just want them to taste good. And these taste good.

I was concerned when purchasing as I normally shop in an Arabic market near my home that has great produce and many different qualities of dates to choose from. Needless to say, I have not been going out to stores but having my food delivered. These dates were exceptional quality, fresh and delicious! I will definitely order again.

Terrible! Would never recommend this product to anyone!! The dates was so dry and hard you couldn't bite them much less eat them. So disappointed. A waste. I have to give a rating to summit a review but this product don't even deserve a rating other than ...Terrible!!

Large and fresh dates with pit - which is exactly what I wanted. It's not gourmet quality but really good and flavorful. Item comes in a box and is sealed over with plastic. Will buy again.

These dates are good for medjoul dates, but they were way too expensive. I've purchased equally delicious dates in the local super markets and pain a fraction of this price.

I ate dates since I was little and this is one of the best dates ever. Soft, super creamy, sweet and extremely delicious. Just like eating ice cream..... I love it. Just it is kinda pricy....that is all.

We absolutely LOVE our dates and as Vegans, they are an important part of our diet. After relying on the 2 pound boxes and running out all the time, I was thrilled to see them offered in a larger quantity for a great price! The Ziyad Medjool Dates are large, juicy and delicious. Eleven pounds is a lot, but when refrigerated or frozen, they keep well. Whether as part of a recipe, or for a quick snack, they are sooo good.

Lived the flavour and freshness the first order but second order was old and dry and tasted bad, expires the same month it was received!!!
