The cake layer, the marshmallow cream filling and the chocolate covering are all kind of "light". Because they are so light, I'm tempted to eat more than one! :-( I don't particularly like really sweet things so Choco Pies are good - they are mildly sweet. The chocolate is a coating so it tends to crack and fall apart when you take a bite. I don't think I can really describe what they taste like. When you take a bite, you'll "crack" the milk chocolate coating followed by a slightly dense vanilla cake combined with a not too sweet layer of fluffy marshmallow "creme". So, it ends up being a nice combination of tastes and textures of chocolate, and cake and fluffy marshmallow.
