slick grooming block
I never knew there was such a thing as a slick grooming block. My horses trainer introduced me to it and I got one from amazon. i love it . It is sturdy and really takes the deeper dirt up and out off the skin. I would definitly recommend this for your equine. I heard it works well on dogs too but my dog has alot of hair so I didnt think it was the right fit for her. But horses - definitly

Great for Dogs too!
Best brush I've found for my Great Dane! This brush is rough and scrapes all the dead hair and skin off my big gentle giant! My Dane looks great and his fur has improved soooooo much since I've been using this on him once a week! It is very easy to use and easy to clean too (I just rinse it with hot water to clean it each time I brush my pup). I'd recommend this brick of a brush to anyone! Especially for short haired dogs!

Tried and True
The tried and true black grooming block! Riding horses over 30 years and have never been without a Slick n Easy grooming block. Makes shedding out the winter coat a breeze and even removes some of those pesky bot fly eggs!

Bought this for car detailing and carpet
I heard this item worked well for getting cat and dog hair out of carpets and it would be good for stuff like car detailing and so on. It does actually work quite well for this application, with a few caveats. First, don't use it on thin carpets - it's like a really rough sandpaper block (lava rock) and it can easily put a hole in thin carpet. With that being said, also be careful around any plastic areas in a car because it will scratch them up if you aren't careful with it. However, on thick carpeted areas, it works really well pulling up embedded hair and works wonders when combined with a good vacuum. Because it is kind of like a rough sandpaper/lava rock type material, it does shed little sandy type bits, but those are easily vacuumed up.

Best grooming tool for rex rabbits!
I have a mini rex who hasn't stopped shedding in the 6 years I've had her. Diet changes do nothing to fix it. She also hates being handled, but has calmed down in the past 2 years (she's a rescue and had trust issues). This block has gotten more loose fur off of her than any other tool I've ever tried! It's fantastic at pulling out the loose undercoat that gets stuck in her plush fur. On top of that, it doesn't tug on her skin while doing that because it doesn't get stuck in her thick fur like many brushes and there's no chance of hurting her skin like a Furminator. I'll have to try this on my cats and see how it does.

I didn’t have high hopes, it seemed crumbly and weird to use for bot flies considering the alternative and main stream use is a knife. Bot flies are notoriously sticky but this whisked them away with no problem! I started off pressing really firmly and my horse let me know that wasn’t necessary, I eased up and it worked like a charm!
