Perfect for routine carry on compact or sub-compact
Read many reviews on this cool little piece of kit and agree with all positives and have issues with most negatives - first, if you are going to war or are law enforcement, then get something else - but if you are looking for something ultra small for a routine carry weapon, then this is your product - fits perfectly on my CZ P10 S as pictured - activation switch is perfectly located and easy to operate - weighs nothing - easy to zero at any distance past 10 feet - some have complained about not enough upward zero adjustment - if you are having this problem your zeroing target distance is too close - if you need a functioning laser to hit a target inside 25 feet , then you shouldn’t own a weapon - it is bright enough inside 50 feet in daylight conditions, easily 100 feet at night - again if your anticipated targets are outside that range then you need to outfit with something bigger and more powerful Just don’t know about battery life yet - but you should be mostly training on iron sights and not the laser - zero the laser, finish your training time with laser on and then going back and forth between laser on and off to get the feel for the difference (because you should never completely depend on a piece of electronics to put a round on target) - this will save your laser battery life for engaging real targets

Good product for only a hundred bucks.
Love it. Perfect on my para 1911 blackops .45, it is easy to attach and sight in. Comes with two sets of batteries . Flashing laser and solid green laser mode. High visibility. Very small, well the smallest I could find on the market actually . Works great .

Fits Springfield XD Mod.2 Perfectly!
This laser is much smaller than I originally thought which is good because it fits my Springfield XD Mod.2 9mm perfectly. I have yet to test it at the range but I'm hoping that it will work just fine. I read many of the other reviews for this laser and so far I have not had the problems that others have had with it. I will re evaluate once it is range tested. Stay tuned ***update*** After taking it to the range and zeroing the laser to my round impact group I have found this laser to be perfect for my gun and it works well with my Remora holster. I have been carrying it concealed and the laser adds very little weight to the gun. The only downside to this laser is that it gets dirty easier with the shorter barrel guns (3-3.5" barrels). But, if you clean your gun regularly it is not an issue. I would definitely recommend this laser to anyone with a new XD Mod.2 as it fits perfect and is lightweight! The laser is also extremely bright!

If Truglo engineering invests the time, the next version of this laser sight could be a solid winner
Pros: 1. Compact, low-profile design 2. Green laser is reasonably bright with fresh silver-oxide batteries (see below) 3. Dual finger switches are located well and are protected from accidental bumping 4. Laser shuts off automatically after ~5 minutes to conserve battery power 5, Hold down either switch for about 3 seconds to switch the laser between constant mode and blinking "pulse" mode (the laser sight "remembers" the most recent setting until it is manually changed again). 6. A relative bargain for a compact green laser sight Cons: 1. It is clamped onto the gun rail with a single small bolt that screws into a threaded piece of aluminum, an inherently weak design ("max torque 4.4 in-lbs") Truglo suggests adding a drop of thread locker, that doesn't help if you've already stripped the aluminum threads 2. The clamping bolt fits into one of the notches of a 1913 Picatinny rail, limiting where the sight can be positioned. It would improve the design to provide additional bolt holes so the laser sight can be positioned optimally relative to the gun's trigger guard. 3. Battery packs for the green laser sights are 6 button cells shrink-wrapped together, Truglo ships along an extra battery pack, but they all use cheap LR626 alkaline cells, at this price and for this critical application Truglo should be exclusively using mercury-oxide button cells that last much longer and hold their voltage better, shame shame on them for cheaping out (the manual calls for LR626 "lithium" batteries which is WRONG, they are cheap alkaline) 4. Both the red and the green Truglo laser sights are rated at <1mw power output (5mw is the legal limit). They seemed sharp and bright to me but I don't plan to use them outdoors in daylight. It wouldn't surprise me if most of the brightness issues could be cleared up by the use of silver-oxide battery packs. 5. The windage/aiming adjustments are spongy and touchy and have hysterisis, unacceptable for this application and at this price point. Using a good-quality red bore laser to perform alignments, I found both green laser sights were very touchy and appeared to move around significantly after being set. The user manual is not reassuring, to quote: "Insufficient adjustment is not a defect with the laser sight." "Do not over-adjust the W/E adjustment screws. Stop turning if you feel any resistance." "To reset the W/E settings, remove both adjustment screws. After approximately 10-20 minutes the laser should point high and to the left of target." I ordered 2 identical green laser sights, and 3 out of 4 battery packs were dead or nearly dead on arrival. Truglo was responsive and immediately sent me fresh battery packs. Researching button cells is frustrating, too many ID schemes and numbers, lots of misinformation and invalid claimed equivalencies out there. In this application, you want top-quality SR626 1.55V mercury oxide button cells, try to avoid SR626SW and other "W" cells which are designed for low-current applications like wristwatches ("W"). If you're wondering, lithium cells won't work in this application. You'll have to tediously tape together a stack of 6 cells (you can't just drop them into the battery chamber one by one, they flip over, and the sides of the first 5 batteries MUST be insulated or some of the cells are likely to be shorted out). Laser Ammo (SureStrike Laser Bullets) does the same thing with their battery packs (3 cheaper alkaline button cells vs silver oxide). If Truglo engineering invests the time, the next version of this laser sight could be a solid winner. They also need to switch to exclusively using silver-oxide button cells (in place of alkaline cells) and selling 6-cell silver oxide battery packs online. Better yet, come up with a Lithium Ion battery pack.

Smallest and lightest laser on the Market!
The overall laser is of great quality alluminum construction the Green is much easier to see then the red i would difinately recomend this laser to anyone in the market looking for a ultra compact laser! It is the smallest one offered on the market currently it is the size of a qaurter in diameter if you were to stack around a 1.00 worth of quarters thats around the overall thickness of it. It wieghs practicly nothing its not heavy in weight or bulky like someone a great laser for carried concealment. I difinately would recomend this to anyone my only complaint is the adjustment screws are really small allen types and are some what hard to adjust not to mention the overall adjusting of the laser to get it to zero or where i wanted or needed it but other then the adjusting of it the laser is the smallest lightest and best quality on the market currently comes in Red or Green. The batteries dont seem to last very long around 60 munutes of runtime.

Misleading product description
I loved how tiny this laser was compared to the competition, and I loved how easy it was to install. Then I turned it on, and all that changed. Others have complained about there being inadequate adjustment room to zero the laser. I experienced the same problem. My biggest complaint, though, is that Truglo appears to be intentionally misrepresenting this laser. Try as I might, I could find nothing in TruGlo's literature or the product description on Amazon about the output of this laser. They describe it as a "powerful 520nm green laser." NM is the FREQUENCY of the laser, not the output, but I hoped it was just poor marketing on the part of Truglo and ordered it anyway. After all, virtually every other laser sight on the planet has an output of 5mW, the legal maximum. Green laser sights cost roughly twice as much as red laser sights. They require a lot more power, so they rip through batteries like they're going out of style. However, there is ONE compelling reason to shell out the extra cash for a green laser: Visibility. Assuming the same output, green lasers are far more visible than red lasers. Imagine my surprise when I turned it on and discovered that it was far less bright and far less visible than any of my red laser sights. (I have six of them.) The reason turned out to be simple: While all my other lasers output at 5mW, this one outputs at less than 1mW. You won't find that anywhere in Truglo's sales hype. You'll find it in their manual after you've already shelled out your cash. And they don't even say how much less than 1mW. No wonder they were able to make this thing so tiny. Fortunately, I bought this through Amazon, so I was able to return it with no hassles. I replaced it with a Crimson Trace CMR-206. The CMR-206 isn't quite as as compact or attractive as the Truglo, but it still fits sub-compact pistols with no problems. It's a well-built green laser at a frequency of 515nm. While you probably won't notice any difference in the color, 515nm should technically be easier to see than the 520nm in the Truglo. It's far brighter than any of my red lasers, all of which are also Crimson Trace, and well worth the extra $35. In conclusion, if your primary criterion for picking a laser is size, the Truglo is the one to get. If it's anything else, steer clear -- especially if company ethics mean anything to you. I don't write reviews often. If Truglo had concentrated on the positive aspects of their laser sight, I would have sent it back, but remained silent -- but there are few things that tick me off as much as intentionally misleading marketing, and trying to obfuscate the difference between frequency and output is one of the worst (or best, depending upon how you look at it) examples of this I've ever seen.

Small package, great performance.
Mounted this little wizard on an AR 7.5" pistol build on a UTG Super Slim carbine length handguard. I mounted it at the very front top of the pic rail and mounted my front BUIS just behind it. I can activate it with either my thumb or my forefinger from either side. This laser is so small and is very well made, holds zero impeccably, The laser is not the strongest, hard to see in daytime, but is very good in low light or at night. Perfect for my PDW. I would definitely recommend it for a pistol or a rifle. Great price and friends were amazed at the small size, easy set-up, and ergonomic buttons.

This is the smallest and best built laser sight I've owned
This is the smallest and best built laser sight I've owned; and interestingly one of the lowest cost. I've had many through the years and the TruGlo is my new favorite (I've purchased six so far for my current "ready active" handguns; two from Amazon). I'm even going to install on two of my Sig P220's that have Trijicon Dual Illumination "Red Dot Night Sights". At 65+ you can't have too much assistance in accurate sight picture acquisition. I believe green lasers are the best for day/night use and I prefer the pulse mode vs steady (brings your eyes to the target quicker). The Micro-Tac also has a power "Auto-Off" feature which I think is critical for any battery powered sight. The one thing I would like TruGlo to offer is the additional packaged six cell battery pack the unit comes with. I ordered a supply of the LR626 batteries, but I can see the loading of the six individual replacement batteries will be a little more delicate then just inserting a shrink wrapped single unit battery pack of six cells.
