You can manually turn them on and off by the switch too. **Q: anyone know how to plug it into the computer ?? i just bought one and i don't know how to plug it... do i need any extra adapter or something else ??** A: First, you install the PCI plate/switch assembly into a PCI expansion slot in the back of your computer case, then plug the 4-pin Molex connector into a corresponding 4-pin Molex connector coming from your power supply. Then there is a little 2-pin plug coming from that connector and backplate that you plug into the blue box. The light tubes both plug into the other side of that blue box. Place the blue box accordingly though, after you stick the lights in the right place. The wires aren't very long. **Q: is this light work for darkroom photography print paper ?** A: Maybe? But you have to put into account that the plug-in goes directly into a computer motherboard... But if you can rig up some kind of system to plug it directly into a wall socket in your dark room, it should work. Red is a relative light, it is not a variable in the Spectrum and of light. Which means you can literally take a fluorescent light bulb, and put some red tent on it, and it would serve the same purpose. If you're dead set on using this product, then by all means it will work. But keep in mind it would be much much cheaper to go with fluorescent bulbs and putting red cellophane on it, or even just getting lamps and put red light bulbs from Walmart in them :p ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful. *by F***T on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2015* So. I got these last night, they arrived pretty quick, seeing as I ordered them three days after a motherboard, paid no shipping on them, and ultra fast shipping on the motherboard and they still beat the motherboard here.They're fairly easy to install, the packaging gives you enough instructions to go off of, even though they're not very clear. Mine lit up pretty well, in red, very nice. I actually didn't have space for both in the main part of the case, so I set one in my cable management compartment to give that a nice glow. They're pretty easy to use, the connectors are a bit of a pain (litteraly) to disconnect, but that's not a big deal.I shorted my PSU to turn it on without my motherboard and these babies lit right up, both in full working order, and they look beautiful. I'd buy these again, and probably will, in the future. If you need some sexy lighting, these are the way to go. The Velcro is about a 7 out of 10 for strength. They use a really nice adhesive to stick to the case, no residue, and a strong connection. I wish the PCI bracket switch was not baby blue as my entire case is black, and my motherboard is black/red, and the lights are red. But whatever. I can scrape off the baby blue from the bracket. You can only place the 2 lights a limited distance apart. The 2 cables from the inverter to the tube lights could be a few inches longer. If you have a full tower case, you will need to plan carefully. I installed these in my Phantom 410, and an extra inch or two on the wires would have been optimal. Larger cases might have problems if you try to put them on opposite ends of the case.The switch on the back is a good addition. These are rather bright, so they can be kind of annoying if you have your computer in a bedroom or such, so the being able to easily turn them off is a necessity, in my eyes.I didn't bother using the provided velcro (partially because of the complains other people had).
