It is perfect size for a cot and I love the clips ...
Bought 1 of these tents bout 3 years ago for my son who was camping with cub scouts, it worked out so well that I bought a 2nd one for my younger son when he started camping with the scouts. It is perfect size for a cot and I love the clips so it attaches to the cot. it is rather tall and hits the top of the boy scout tent and the poles can be hard to shuffle through the tent but well worth it. I usually attach the tent to the cot first and then push the poles through. Zipper door on either side of the tent. I noticed this year a few boys had an instant popup bug net tent with no assembly required, they did look pretty cool, however, it was too wide for the cot, there was no way to attach it to the cot, the door was only on one side, and much smaller door than the Rothco at least 1/2 the size.

Size restrictive but with features the standard old tie up mosquito barriers do not have.
This is a great product for standard cots and people comfortable with some restriction. There is height restriction. Used with standard summer camp cots in Scouting provides features that are VERY handy. inside storage above 2 side over the edge storage zippered access on each side. The base is great too. The bad is the inability for stretching out past the length of a cot. I am 6'3" and very restricted and nearly unusable. There is no easy fix for this, other than to modify this. So it will not fit XL cots and those of us using standard cots with feet hanging off will not be able to do this.

Great way to stay bug free
Outstanding product. Purchased this for my son when he went to scout camp. He was in a very buggy area, but absolutely no mosquitos, chiggers, spiders, or ticks got to him. Very easy to set up, stayed securely on his cot all week, and didn't get any holes in it. He'll be able to use it again next year! It has a small hammock that can be hung from the peak to store a flashlight or book out of the way inside the netting and organizers hanging from both sides (they hang off the side of the cot, outside of the netting) to keep small items handy.

Product defective and poor customer service.
I bought this item for my son for scout camp with plenty of time for arrival. Upon arrival, one of the tent post straps on one of the corners was completely missing making the tent unusable. When I asked Go Commando Gear to replace it, they refused and told me buy another one and pay for express shipping. When I used Amazon to return it, I got a mailing label that was NOT postage paid for return of a defective item. I could understand having to pay shipping to return something if I didn't like the color, but not for a broken item. I had to pay $11.50 for the cheapest traceable return method and they only refunded me for the initial shipping which I paid $4.30 for. So this adventure cost me $11.50 just to be able to get a piece of junk and return it. Do not buy from go commando gear for any reason. I'm submitting a formal complaint to Amazon. Buy from the company who participates in Amazon Prime. After adding the shipping, it costs less than a dollar more and you get a fully functional product and good customer service. Rothco should not let go commando gear sell their product as they are not being well represented by this seller.

good for the price
This tent is a good value. It's quite inexpensive but still functional for protected camping, meaning indoors or someplace you're sure won't rain. I especially like that the top of the tent is mesh which allows a view of the stars. It's nice that the tent comes with a gear loft for small items like books, glasses, flashlight, etc. I also like that the tent is high enough to sit up inside comfortably (42" at the apex). The interior of the tent measures exactly 6' x 2' so it's not for the big and tall. 24" is about the minimum comfortable width for an adult. Therefore I highly recommend spraying the sides with Permethrin to prevent bugs biting ones arms through the mesh. Permethrin will also prevent smaller bugs like no-see-ums from passing through this larger mesh.Things I don't like: Having a door on each side is overkill especially since this is clearly a one-person tent (not a deal breaker). But unlike other reviewers, I believe the tent is difficult to set up. Feeding 11' poles through 9' sleeves is very difficult, especially where the poles cross each other. I wish they would have used pole clips instead of sleeves, which are a thing of the past. Despite this one issue, I like the tent a lot especially for extended stays in protected areas. Definitely not for backpacking but great for car camping, summer camp, hostels, stays in the tropics, etc.

Army Reservist review
I'm a reservists and started seeing these cot-tents popping up 2 years ago. The few soldiers who had them first definitely got teased a little about them. But when you're sleeping outside for days/weeks and you have one of these tents you'll get the last laugh. It's easy to setup and is very sturdy so you can easily hop into it. It does stand tall, so from a military/tactical standpoint I could see someone commenting about that, but it's easy to take down during the day if need be.Over the last few years I've had to sleep outside countless times for training. Hot summer days, on my feet all day, and moving out... Only to get a few hours of sleep and having mosquitos buzz by your ears, eyes, and up your nose. This cot-tent makes those nights more manageable.

Great product
I was very happy with the purchase. It basically is a one person tent that attaches to a cot. It is sturdy and very well made. The price is very reasonable for this little tent. As long as you keep the tent zipped, no bugs come in. It also has a little material square that attaches to the top of the inside of the tent and it can be used to place items such as glasses and a magazine. The tent fits perfectly on the cot. If you are 5'9 or taller, it may be a little tight. Then again tall people may have issues with a regular sized cot, too. I highly recommend this product.
