Love them
These helped my iron go up 50 points! They aren’t hard on your gut like other irons. They are great quality and very effective.

Cure for Postpartum Anemia
I was "barely" anemic for my third trimester bloodwork. Because I was so healthy they just said to eat more beef. I love beef- it didn't help. At 4 months postpartum I began fainting constantly and blacking out. I figured it was anemia so I began taking these pills, 3 a day, for 5 days. By day 3 the fainting turned into slight wooziness but no blackouts and day 5 it stopped completely. My own gripe is these are so expensive... I do like they have folic acid. Honestly these should be marketed as pregnancy iron pills. I am feeling so much better now and I don't feel like I am going to die just by getting up to make a bottle. I will eventually taper off to one a day but I was trying to take a therapeutic dose. Also yes- these absorb better. Way better than vegetable derived iron... I wish I had known heme iron exists.

Improved my Iron labs to normal in just 6 weeks.
I had been taking a liquid iron supplement (Geritol) for over a year to treat iron-deficiency anemia, but I didn’t notice any improvement. On 7/31, my bloodwork showed a hemoglobin of 13.4 g/dL. I switched to Proferrin, and about six weeks later, on 9/15, my hemoglobin rose to 14.8 g/dL, which is now within the normal range. So, I'm impressed. The cost is good considering that it is a 3-month supply.

Amazing product
I was diagnosed with severe iron deficiency. It didn’t have any stomach discomfort which was amazing. It has no taste so don’t worry about a metallic taste. I didn’t experience major side effects other than mild constipation.

Expensive and of limited help
This is very expensive and didn't help raise my iron levels much over the six months or more that I was taking it. On the plus side it's very gentle and didn't cause any irksome digestive symptoms. Everyone's iron deficiency has a different cause and so what didn't help me much might work out better for you.

Works well but very expensive to buy in the UK. I prefer to have friends bring it from the US. The capsules don’t taste like anything and it’s easy to swallow.
