Had em for about a year
I live in Central Florida, where it rains HARD, every day during the summer months. I have these in the backyard, near my pool. Their sound quality (alone) lacks decent bass, but in conjunction with two other speakers that I have under the patio cover, the overall sound is very nice. (my other speakers put out alot of bass) They have performed perfectly, even in a harsh down pour, for nearly a year now, and look even better after "ageing" in the harsh sunlight. They are NOT bluetooth capable, so you will have to run wire to each speaker.(I ran pvc conduit and pulled wire to each location) On a side note, when I first purchased these, one had a "flaw" and didn't work properly, but the seller was very quick in sending a replacement. Good customer support! NOW, if you want to use these, and want bluetooth capability, just make sure the "receiver" amp you are using has a bluetooth receiver built in, and then you can use a tablet, or smartphone to play music over your yard. The unit I am using is a Pyle receiver, and has been operating outside for about a year, as well (under cover, and out of the direct rain, of course) I recommend this product as well, due solely to my own personal experience with it) But it has withstood the humidity, and dust of my patio. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GVYHJK2/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Nice upgrade
I’ve had the 4” version of the same brand for 8-9 years in the harsh Palm Springs sun. (They still work) I decided to update my sound in the back yard. 8” add a nice amount of bass to the music. It’s not like DJ quality bass but it’s enough that I can drown out my neighbors vrbo who is getting annoying with their loud music. Mine is now louder and also annoying I’m sure.

Good for the money
Let me preface by revealing I'm an audiophile. I'm very particular and demanding about my speakers. I'm putting the finishing touches on a back yard project, and needed speakers to go by the firepit. Frankly, these are not what I wanted, I had my eyes on some Klipsch Reference Series rock speakers because I have their outdoor speakers under my eves and they are amazing. But my project is badly over budget and the Klipsch are four times the price, so I had to settle for less at this time.I received these on time as usual, then unboxed them and played in my basement for about four days. When I first started playing them I was not happy at all. Very hollow sounding with thumpy bass. But I know most speakers need some breaking in, so I let them play awhile. After a few hours of play time they smoothed out and I decided I could live with them. The look is OK. They are not concrete, they are made of some plastic material. But they look OK and will blend fine with the concrete they sit on. They're not bad looking by any means.I installed them outside tonight, Let me be clear, these are not high end speakers, but for the money they sound pretty good. The bass doesn't go low (I didn't expect it too), but it produces a satisfying thump. They are a bit shrill in the midrange, but I was able to fix most of that with some EQ settings.Bottom line...once I broke them in and did some corrections through the EQ; they sound very decent. Now coming from me, that's pretty good. Most people would be very happy with the sound. The real question now is whether or not they will hold up. I'll try to report back after a season to let you know.If you have plenty of money to spend, you can certainly do better. If you're on a budget like I was this time, you'll probably be very satisfied with these.

Second set
My first set lasted for over 8 years when one $%&) @ night I had them a little to loud and blew one of the subs. Took the old ones out to the trailer and was please when I found out that they still sell the same speakers. The sound quality is suburb for what they are. With enough base and treble to satisfy even the pickiest of them.

Died in less than 3 months and used 5-10 times.
I have another set of much smaller rock speakers from Costco 14 years ago. The small worn out ones work still work but one is noisy, so I purchased these from Amazon. They sounded great for the money! I have one on each side of the pool in the same locations as the smaller pair that is 14 years old. I made sure to buy a high wattage rated speaker so I can play music loud without worrying about damaging the speakers. All my home speakers are rated around 125 Watts and my receiver is rated 525 watts. I had 5 speakers playing indoors and these 2 new rock speakers playing outside. I purchased these Sept 7, 2019 and they died the end of Nov. I don't think they were used more than 5-10 times. Had a party with my son and these two turned off after 5 minutes at a higher than normal volume. I figured Zone 2 on my receiver died or someone touched the remote. I couldn't figure out why zone 2 isn't working. Now that it's summer, I had Geek Squad check out my Zone 2 receiver. He said the speakers or wiring is bad. I thought there is no way the speakers are bad. I connected them up myself and sure enough both are dead. In 40 years, I never had a speaker die. Both speakers are dead. I don't believe the published rating on these. Save your money!

Soft sounds in the garden from Amazon
Bought these to accompany larger speakers in the same genre to give surround sound. The price was great and the sound amazing. The bass was deep and full and the treble was clear and crisp. They are sitting under some bushes and just deliver a nice back sound when I am at the table. They were very easy to install and in perfect condition upon arrival. The stone appearance was almost an exact match for the other rock speakers bought last year from Amazon. I hightly recommend them. I know the drivers on the highway in front of my yard are going to laugh at the dancing fool in the garden while I play some great rhythm and blues. Oh well, they will be on the road while I have a cocktail and shake my groove thing!
