Simple solution for an expensive problem
I needed to place a remote security monitor in a room across the house 75' away from the camera system. Running an actual VGA or HDMI line there would be difficult if not impossible, but I do have Cat5e in all rooms. Tried HDMI extenders first but they didn't work with the security system for some reason. Then I noticed it also had a VGA output so tried these. Worked immediately, with no power or active electronics.

Perfect for the application I needed it for. Worked immediately with no fiddling. Truly plug and play! 7 projectors and 8 large video monitors running flawlessly in a church AV system. — Although a word to the layman when purchasing: If you’re in the USA and going from a computer to a screen? You will need to order 2 MALE units. Because only female connections are allowed to be panel mounted here. Very happy with this product overall.

Complete Failure, Save Money and Stay Away
Good or bad I don't write reviews however, this one is beyond bad as to be non-functional. I had bought a different brand before these for a monitor and needed a second set for another monitor and because these were 5 bucks cheaper I decided to give em a try. Cat 5, Cat 6 or Cat 7 all failed to work properly. The Cat 5 and 7 would not work at all and Cat 6 made the display bling on and off every 2 to 5 seconds which was extremely annoying. My first set (which I also got from Amazon) ran fine with all cables and monitors. Not even a powered VGA signal enhancer could help these lemons. Don't be cheap and waist your time. Junk. Zero Stars. By the way, they don't work.
