This is the continuing story of the forensic heroes of the Las Vegas crime scenes as they untangle the evidence behind enemy lines, bagging and swabbing every morsel of evidence to nail the bad guys. Season 11 kicks off with Raymond Langston (Fishburne) fighting for his life after being stabbed by serial killer and nemesis, Nate Haskell. Meanwhile the CSI team contend with sharks in Vegas swimming pools, video game murders, deadly car bombings and a werewolf convention linked to a murder investigation. Vegas 11 comes to a head when Langston finally comes face to face with Haskell. After several years of pursuit and countless murder victims will Langston finally get his man and even if he does, will he ever be the same again? It is all part of the job for the Las Vegas CSI graveyard shift where the city never sleeps and people lie…but the evidence never does. Review: THE FIRST AND THE BEST - Despite the various spin offs this is by far the best of the CSI franchises and we have been collecting the DVD's from season one. Having them enables us to go back and re-evaluate the early years against the more recent. Review: Miscast and Missed. - I bought this DVD as I had never seen series 11 when the other CSI programmes aired. I have to say, life is not the same without Grissom, or Warwick for that matter. I suspect that Billy Petersen was a difficult act to follow, and not even CBS could revive the departed Warwick Brown. Laurence Fishburne, competent actor though he is, never seemed to gel with the other characters. Ted Danson on the other hand, fitted in seamlessly. Some interesting stories in this series, I enjoyed The Two Mrs. Grissoms, seeing Sara initially doing battle with her mother in law. On the whole a worthwhile addition to the CSI family, which is more than can be said about the CSI finale, unless of course the cast were all tongue-in -cheek throughout the entire script.

Excellent Standard
The DVD is of excellent standard and keeps up the tradition of quality this series has established. The plot lines are just as puzzling as when CSI first started,

Who was Grisham?
I had series 9 and 10 on DVD for a while before actually watching them. Having seen sneak peaks of the series on TV, I knew what was coming, and wasn't looking forward to watching Grisham leave. How can the CSI Las Vegas team manage without their mainstay? I must admit that these worries grew, when I finally ventured into series 9 and 10. But no actor is bigger than a show, are they Mr Sheen? And by series 11 I was actually forgetting the great Grisham, and becoming more and more intrigued with the new boy, Ray Langston. Along with the development of the rest of the cast, including the increasingly annoying Hodges, the series as gone from strength to strength and gone a long way to making the absence of Grisham less and less disappointing. Can't wait for the next fix, and the possibility of a Grisham return???

CSI science, bad guys haven't got a chance!
Being a long time fan of CSI Vegas since the early days and still trying to catch up on older episodes, this one is no different and I will sit enthralled through episode especially there being 'no' commercial breaks!

I just finished watching season 11 of CSI Las Vegas and it is at the moment my favorite season. I gave it 5 stars because of the excellent (and very creepy) later episodes; particularly the ones concerning Nat Haskell. I thought Fishburne was at his best in this one. I loved him in the MATRIX trilogy and he has been good in the earlier episodes, but he just got better and better as the seasons rolled on. I did not think anyone could replace Grissom, and they didn't, but he came in and took off. His chase down of Haskell was terrific though I might have tortured the monster before wasting him. Haskell was sort of a combination of Perant (BONES) and Charlie Manson. Similar characteristics such as attracting weirdo women (of course that was in Las Vegas, a weird town) and getting them to do his dirty work much like Charlie. Unfortunately Charlie was a real sadistic killer and Haskell a writers imagination but still extremely creepy. Then too, there was the case of Dr Jeckel, another weird serial killer running about in a no. of episodes. Gruesome! Anyhow, salute to Fishburne and to the cast of writers who did so well this season. I thought the episode about "fracking" was interesting though I was a little uneasy about whether the producers were knocking fracking or just criticizing the corrupt energy company. I am a big booster of "fracking" and other energy research methods that can make us independent of foreign energy supplies and yet keep costs to the consumer reasonable. Anyway, a good season for those who like action, forensic sci research and putting the bad guys away. I certain recommend it and like all my DVDs, I got this set from Amazon. I still have 12 & 13 to watch. And as always the entire cast is good; I am even getting to like Willows, though she seems to be having trouble with her boyfriend; I actually saw her smile once. And I certainly like her better than that creep Dr Sweets or Martha from you-know-where. Enjoy!!
