A very weird story.
A very weird story! Not sure that it helped my class of 8 year olds understand anything about division, but they liked the story.

but this really is an adorable
This is a cute story and would probably help littler kids who need an introduction to the concept of division, but I thought it was a little higher skill level than it is. I thought perhaps it would have a little more complicated arithmetic, more problem solving, etc. my daughter is already dividing and I was looking for conceptual reinforcement at a higher skill level. but this really is an adorable story

Useful for Daily 5 Math
I am collecting reading resources for my Daily 5 math to be used in a basket of independent work. We are getting ready to cover division, so I am hoping the students will like it.

satisfied
I am a new teacher and wanted to build my library; in my opinion, it is important to include books with a math theme so that I can conduct interesting mini-lessons. Having this book helps round out my library. I think the students will enjoy it.

This is a great adaption of an old fairy-tale - educational and entertaining. Illustrations and text work well together. Thanks.

Great for my middle school classroom!
I teach middle school math, and the students love hearing these stories in class, so I like being able to give them something to help them remember different math concepts.
