Supposedly this D30 material is more shock resistant/absorbent. I don't intend to drop my phone regularly to find out, so I'll take their word for it.It's pretty slick looking, doesn't pick up lint as much as the gel skin, and allows full access to all the ports and controls.The only knock is that it's bulkier than the gel skin by enough that you notice the difference in your hand. I have pretty large hands, so it's not an issue for me...but some folks might already think the OneS is too big, this will only make it more so. I replaced the gel skin because it discolored after about 6 months of regular use. This case seems like it will last much longer without any problems like that.Short of buying a $50 case, this appears to be the sturdiest case for the money.
