Wish I had discovered this tool a long time ago! It is so simple in design and yet so handy. While promoted to use when placing designs when doing ruler work, this little template is a godsend for machine embroiders, too. It allows you to place a center point as well as lines for corner placements. Add a Chaco chalk liner pen and you are all set for perfect placement. Comes in two sizes, but I went with the larger since I figured it would work as well for smaller designs also.

Great Marking Stencil
Pros: I haven't used it yet but it arrived in perfect condition. I anticipate it will be helpful to quickly mark off sections that I intend to quilt without having to measure and do math! Cons: I would be careful not to drop or twist this since it doesn't feel very sturdy. It doesn't have a hole to hang for storage when not in use.

Ruler
The ruler came quickly. I have not used it yet but I did watch the instructional video and it looks pretty straight forward.

NEEDS WIDER GROOVES
I WANTED TO USE FOR A TEMPLET. I wanted to use my marker in the cutouts. they are not wide enough. tried several markers and it just very hard to use for my purpose.

I made a protective pocket with firm sides to store it.

Good Cross hair tool
I found this easy to use. The only drawback to it, is it is fragile. Not a problem if you take proper care of it. It becomes a problem when it is shipped in a plastic bag... Luckily Amazon swapped me out with a new one very quickly.

Marking your quilt just got easier
I used this for the first time and just love it. This template really speeds up the process. It arrived in fine condition. I can see that it needs some care in storing. The ruler is 1/8" thick with a 1/8" thick 1/4" wide band glued around the edge for strength. The slits are wide enough to easily mark your quilt top. I used Crayola extrafine markers. I should have bought this long ago.
