The 1 for U womens Summer Nightgowns for Women

2024: still my favorite nightgowns. I've machine washed and dried mine every week for years and they’re still in great shape while other brands have fallen apart or gone threadbare. I'll keep on buying The 1 for U until I have replaced the other brands. Sleeveless designs like Meghan are fine year-round. When I need a little more warmth, I add a cotton shirt; for even more warmth, I add a cotton turtleneck. A minor correction to my original review: the nightgowns now come in a plastic bag - not a fabric envelope. Original Review: Wow! I am trying The 1 for U brand nightgowns for the first time and I am very impressed! They are carefully sewn and embroidered, with a facing (extra layer of material) on the inside of the embroidered bodice. And they come buttoned inside of a fabric envelope, probably made of shimmer organza fabric. Very classy if you're giving this as a gift, or if you fold your nightgowns and keep them in a drawer, you could reuse it. I ordered three nightgowns: the Ruby in blue and in white, size small and the Meghan, size medium. The Rubies have a fitted bodice, that doesn't quite fit me (probably would if I wore my bra to bed, but that's not happening) so I am returning them. People who wear an A or B cup might have better luck with the Ruby. I ordered the Meghan in medium due to the reviews. It is way too big! The label reads “UK-L, US-M.” I am 5’9”, 130 lb, 36C, and I wear an 8 to 10, M dress. I will be exchanging the Meghan M for a small. I am sure it will fit me, because it does not have a fitted bodice. Also, if the small is a little too generous, I intend to machine wash and dry it. Otherwise, I will hang it dry. At the time of my purchases, this brand was just a few dollars more than the other major, affordable brand of nightgown featured on Amazon. I own seven of that brand, (all mediums with plenty of room for me) I can can tell you that The 1 f o r U brand is far superior and well worth the small difference in price. If you are in my size range, be sure you order a size down.

The nighty was comfortable easy to tuck your knees up in and stays down when you turn over. That's important in nighty management. It had some nice details. Nice embroidery, nice seems, slightly see through in a strong light...I'm 5'10" and not large so I think I should have bought a smaller size... but I had already washed it:( So it's mine. Dude, I don't know what everyone is wearing to bed, but nighties are the bomb! Do not error and go to the elongated tee shirt. I think your sex life is a sham! The only thing that was weird about this was it has pockets. Woah... I think I'll sew em up and cut em off. Oh it came quickly and it has nice fabric.

This is my 4 th purchase from this company ! One I gifted. The 100 per cent cotton is very comfortable. I run hot when sleeping so these are great for me. They are very pretty and wash well. I definitely recommend. I have the button downs and this design with pockets.

The embroidery on the neckline is delicate and very pretty. This gown is well made of all cotton fabric, and it is cool and comfortable. I first ordered a medium U.S. size but had to return it for small. I am 5'8" and weigh 139lbs. After washing in hot water and putting it through the dryer, the size small fits me better. I prefer cotton to other gown fabrics.

I love this line. The quality is always excellent, the detailing classic. I ordered this in white with pink embroidery. I usually wear a large in this brand but after reading the reviews of this one, I decided to downsize to a medium. It fits well enough through the chest and hips. This is the first gown I have purchased that did not have a lower flounce, and I realize now that I prefer the flounced styles for the comfort. I found that this gown was a little too straight in line, and when I sleep, it rides up around my hips, unlike the other two flounced versions that I have, which stay with me no matter how I turn in my sleep. That is why I rated it 4 out of 5 stars for comfort. Other than that, it is a lovely, feminine, modest gown.

The pure white nightgown is my second at Amazon. Good quality. Very attractive.I order a medium/ I’m petite so the length is perfect. Comes to my Lower chin. ( I’m 4”11’). I will order additional ones fir the price and quality.

This nightgown is so comfortable. It's not sexy at all, just like a cotton sack to sleep in, but it's by far the most comfortable nightmare I've owned

I'd ordered one of this brand's other gowns, which fits well at my new smaller size, but somehow this one fits better. Probably the cut. Its cotton is nicely soft and quite cool for someone who sleeps poorly in summer heat. I like the way it looks as well--very feminine and pretty. I think it's a good buy.

Liked the nightgown but not the company who shipped it. Delivery date changed 2x and still didn't arrive when scheduled. If you want this product, be sure to order it in well ahead. Item fits somewhat large but I'd read the reviews and ordered it accordingly. It fits perfectly. I really do like the item, especially the pockets.

This is very good quality. Light weight, beautiful embroidery. Worth every penny.

Item arrived early

this nightgown fit well and was comfortable however the fabric has weakened in several areas and it is not the only nightgown that I own! This is not an inexpensive purchase and I am very disappointed with thiscompany!
