Great shampoo
My dog, right before Xmas, decided he had an itch that he simply could not scratch - so he chewed himself raw instead. I was horrified as over a 72 hour period, every time he went outside or was left unattended (like at night) he would chew around the base of his tail, pulling out fur & chewing his skin raw to the point of bleeding. He wouldn't do it in front of us, but as soon as he was out of our sight he would do it - it was like he knew and was being sneaky about it. He would go out for a 5 min toilet trip in the garden & come back bleeding. There was nothing obvious causing the issue (such as fleas, ticks or a visible skin issue) but we decided to treat his skin with something anti-fungal & anti-bacterial just incase & to also keep the skin clean whilst it was healing. The vets were all closed except for emergencies, but thankfully Amazon were still delivering. We invested in a muzzle to stop him making a further mess of his bum when he was not being watched (so outdoor toilet breaks & overnight basically) and also bathed the hot spot daily with this shampoo. This shampoo claims to be natural & medicated for cleaning wounds, so it was a perfect fit for our issue. It is easy enough to use - I mixed some in water in a jug, used a cloth dipped in the mixture to bathe the area & then after a few minutes of letting it do its thing, a clean cloth with just water to ensure it was rinsed off again. We did this every night before putting the muzzle on so he couldn't bother the area & this worked perfectly. Out dog is way too big to get in the bath, so doing it this way meant I could lie him on a towel & treat the area, pat it dry with a microfibre towel & then leave to airdry as he was mostly dry at this point. Thankfully over the last 2 months, we have seen a vast improvement. His fur has grown back & his skin has healed nicely. He no longer seems bothered by whatever it was that initially triggered him. Now when he goes to the groomers, we take his shampoo along too & he is bathed in it to keep up the treatment. We will now keep some in the house for any other emergencies as with it being a natural product it's perfect for treating any sores, spots, cuts or scrapes. It smells nice too - like those herbal tablets you get from sweet shops. Pleasant and natural, not perfumed or fake like some products. I would imagine this product could also be used on other animals with it being natural too. 5 stars would recommend keeping some of this in the pet first aid kit. Update - I have also used this product on my birds. Whilst I do not advocate bathing birds in shampoo as it strips their waterproofing oils from the feathers, sometimes that is the least of my concern and the bird being bathed is a priority. I don’t like to use human shampoos on my birds but being as this is natural and also antiseptic etc I feel more comfortable using this instead. I’ve had to use it a few times to treat various things and clean birds and so far it’s been great. It leaves their feathers soft and smooth, smells nice and has all the natural goodness I’d hope from a natural product. I’ve used it on birds I’ve rescued that have been covered in poop, birds that are unwell and have vomited on themselves and one that had a run in with a dog and I wanted to remove the dogs saliva from the bird so it didn’t catch anything. So far so good as it is a great item for any first aid type treatments such as scrapes, bites, stings etc so if the bird has any minor wounds (such as the one that ended up in the mouth of a dog) hopefully this shampoo helps clean the wound and prevent infection. Would recommend.

Great shampoo for skin issues and good value for money
My Husky Shepherd X has an autoimmune disease and has had ongoing issues with itchy dry flakey skin. She pulls her fur out and even been left with cuts, a rash and sores from the biting. Done 2 months of medicated baths at the start with oatmeal shampoo and had spent a fortune on vets that kept giving her steroid injections and other things that didn't make any difference. If anything the issue continued to get worse while I struggled to keep up financially with vets. After the 8 weeks of medicated baths, she literally undone all the hard work in 1 day by biting and scratching herself while pulling fur out again. I was at my wits end and tried this stuff. It made a big difference and smells nice too, a lot nicer and cheaper than the oatmeal shampoo. I like that it's made from natural ingredients as I've been sticking to natural remedies myself for a while and now also do the same with my dogs. I have been using this shampoo on all 4 of my dogs for about 8 months now, it's the only one I go for these days. I highly recommend giving this a go rather than wasting time and money on synthetic poison from vets. They overcharge and mostly more interested in making money by masking symptoms rather than address the root cause. I have just purchased the cream, that arrived bout an hour ago as an extra help and hopefully it reduces the amount of baths I need to do too. As I've just used it for the first today it's too early to say how well it will work, but based on experience with the shampoo, I'm very confident it will be just as good.

Great stuff, however not a sunscreen in the slightest
Great stuff for soothing itchy skin - I even found it helped my dog regrow her fur after surgery - though it's more like vaseline than a cream consistency. However, this is not a sunscreen and I think it's disgusting that it's advertised as such. The ingredients in this product are: hemp, chamomile, aloe vera, eucalyptus and clove. It contains absolutely no UV blockers whatsoever. At best, you'll get an SPF of 10 - that's being VERY generous. There is absolutely no scientific way that this can be an SPF 50 sunscreen as it's currently advertised.

Does what it says on the tin!
Great product! Left my Shih Tzu's coat clean and soft and has reduced her itching. Plus, it smells great! Will be buying again

Not a thick shampoo
Bit early to tell. Used twice. The shampoo is quite runny so go steady when pouring out as you could loose alot. Not the nicest of smells but if it works that's all that matters.

Very effective at clearing up my dog's skin conditions
I have an XL bully who unfortunately, but not unexpected with the breed, suffers with skin problems. He has been given things from the vets before, but I find that this cream works much better. His skin is not as inflamed or sore when we apply this, and with regular daily use, his skin clears up. I can highly recommend this product for use on red, inflamed and scabby skin; it's beautiful absorbed, and keeps the area moisturised so it's comfortable for him. I prefer this cream over vetinary prescribed products.

Brilliant
My dog recently started scratching a lot, no fleas and we haven’t changed his diet. I purchased this along with the spray and it seems to be working. The shampoo doesn’t have that horrible medicated smell like the vets. His fur is lovely and soft, he’s a Maltese so fingers crossed this is working a dream

Our dog has seasonal allergies, and once the itching starts, it’s a battle. This shampoo made a noticeable difference after just one bath. The scent is mild and clean — not perfumey — and the consistency is thick enough to work into a good lather. What impressed me most was how calm our dog seemed afterward. Her skin looked less red, and she wasn’t scratching constantly like before. I also appreciate that it rinses out easily, because wrestling a wet dog is already enough of a challenge. If your pup has sensitive skin, this is absolutely worth trying.

I have a frenchie who has allergies. He is on meds for his itches but this really helped to keep him from licking his paws once we bathed him. It is not going to last a long time, but we did get 48 hours without him licking his paws. It also smells really nice and foams up well and rinses great!

The Cooper & Gracie Itchy Dog Shampoo lists natural ingredients and has a slight herby scent with a hint of eucalyptus and lavender, two of its listed ingredients. One of the ingredients listed is Phenoxyethanol. A search says that it extends shelf life and is generally safe in concentrations less than 1%. It produces little lather so it is somewhat hard to know how much to use. It is listed as being made in Israel and formulated by veterinary dermatologists. My dog scratches and licks himself several times a day. I don’t know if it’s an allergy or boredom. I’ve used the shampoo once and It’s hard to know if the shampoo helps. The directions say to use it 1-2 times a week or as needed. This frequency seems as if it would dry out most dog’s skin. I have a poodle and they do not have a “doggy” smell. In the cold climate where we live I don’t bathe my dog very often in the winter. In general it seems like a nicely made product but I can’t judge its effectiveness for dogs with itchy skin.

This Itchy Dog Shampoo (300 ml) for sensitive skin is excellent. It contains a Dead Sea complex that soothes the skin and helps with irritation. It lathers well, smells pleasant, and seems gentle enough for regular use. My dog’s coat feels soft and clean after using it, and it hasn’t caused any irritation. Definitely a solid choice for sensitive pups.
