UPDATE: Tolnaftate seems very effective for my skin. I wanted to update my review however because I just found the generic version at Target for $3.99. Same amount. Same strength. ORIGINAL: I developed itchy patches on my skin after 2+ years of breastfeeding. My baby didn't have full-blown thrush in her mouth but my doctor suspects that some fungus from her mouth must have transferred to my skin. I have since stopped breastfeeding for 1.5 years but the itchy skin is so stubborn and continues to come and go. The Clotrimazole Betamethasone my doctor prescribed helped with itch and squashes flare ups but never completely eradicated the problem. It's a constant struggle and now I have skin discoloration. I found this product on Amazon with Tolnaftate as the active ingredient. I use it together with the Clotrimazole and the my itchy skin condition is much better. After a month, it rarely flares up. I hope that with prolonged and consistent use, my problem will go away once and for all. I also really like the cooling tea tree scent and feel. Helps relieve itching. For a 1 oz. tube of OTC antifungal cream, it is pricey but it is also FSA eligible. And the fact that it is working for me makes it worth it!

Usually I don’t bother to write reviews, however this is a product that must be talked about. This cream saved my skin after nothing else worked. I used lamasil and other creams, these seemed to ether make it worse or nothing at all. three weeks went by and my skin was terrible. I had it on my legs arms and back! The itch was insane so hard to sleep at night. By the time I came across this it had been 3 weeks of suffering. The minute I put this on, the itch was gone! I couldn’t believe it. Ringworm spreads fast and it’s highly contagious, the only thing that finally helped was using fungal wash to clean the affected area twice a day everyday, this must be done continuously. Also using a new clean towel every time for each area. One for the top of my body and one for the bottom. Final step was to apply the cream twice daily right after washing up. It’s a lot to work and it’s a pain in the ass. But it’s the only thing that made it better. New bed sheets every night so as to not re infect my self. Ringworm can stay i surfaces for months!!! Disinfect your house and be consistent. Hopefully this helps somebody. I couldn’t find any valuable info anywhere just bits and pieces, so here it is! This product is costly but effective and nothing else works! To me, it was worth every penny. Also I sued about 6 tubes and found that buying more at once was cheaper.

I have been using this product for about 4 weeks, and I am just now starting to see minor results. The bottle says results should be seen in two weeks, however this was not the case for me. I would recommend trying other options or consulting a doctor for a higher grade medication.

For months I was battling what I thought was a really bad case of athlete's foot. Every night like clock work when I came home and took my shoes off, my feet would start itching. I got it sort of controlled with a mix of cheap antifungal cream (because I was going through a tube a week) and Benadryl anti-itch cream, but the last few weeks I really thought I was going to die from itching. And the itching progressed from just at night to all times of the day. I made an appointment with my doctor, and then I googled "best cures for ring worm" because I decided that's what I had. I found this stuff on my first link so even though it was a little expensive, I figured it was cheaper than a doctor's bill. It arrived the very next day and I instantly applied it before heading out to work. Not one itch during my 10 hour shift. So then I come home and start to feel a little tiny bit itchy, so I apply some more and go to bed. The next morning I wake up with no itch and I apply some more cream. I come home from work, no itch. Not even one. The circles are gone from my feet and there is almost no sign that I had a fungal infection at all! I don't itch anymore, but I'm going to keep using this stuff for two weeks. I really doubt the infection will return. I even canceled the appointment with my doctor. This stuff is amazing. And it has a pleasant smell, too. Like tea tree oil, I think. If you're on the fence or want to try something cheaper, don't. Buy this stuff, because it'll start working THE SAME DAY and your life will only get better from here.

We have had a case of yeast/ringworm that has been getting into age spots, freckles, and just simply in itchy dots and patches on chest, arms, legs on two family members from someone who had it on their face and accidentally shared towels when overseas. We have tried everything to battle it, and its something that the French pharmacy told us is far more involved than what they state in the USA. One has to wash the body a certain way with anti-bacterial hospital soap (for feet its the same but add a bleach soak/wash for 10 minutes a day) and let it dry with a fan so there is no moisture on skin and then apply this cream. Within days the red marks decrease and with everyday use for 4 weeks we finally see no sign of it coming back. Our daughter and teen friends got this on their face around nose, mouth and the doctors in the USA all assumed it was contact dermatitis but we knew that we had seen ringworm on face present itself differently in France and treated differently. You cannot use this cream on the face because there is a slightly minty camphor smell to it. But you can use the 2% basic cream that is sold on Amazon and takes a ton of patience and time to get rid of it. Also, we were told that bacteria loves to play with yeast so often times people have a double whammy problem and antibiotics are needed to give the immune system a chance to get ahead of the issue. If I had not read these reviews, we would still be fighting this yeasty ringworm thing!! But this is the BEST STUFF ON THE PLANET! Buy 4 tubes.
