A Very Plesant Surprise
I was curious about these 0.5mm, BIC mechanical pencils and I'm glad I bought them. The pencil feels light in my hand, but well made. The grip is comfortable, it's firm rubber, but not hard. The eraser is nice, it does its job, and I like the generous size. You advance the lead by pushing down on the eraser at the top (as opposed to shaking the pencil, or pushing a button on the side, etc.). I really like the feel of this pencil, when I write and draw with it. The grip might make putting it in a pen loop difficult. The plastic clip feels sturdy, and I'm not worried about snapping it off. It's a tiny bit longer than a capped BIC "Round Stic" ballpoint pen, or a capped BIC "Cristal" ballpoint. With the metal tip inside the pencil (the part that holds the lead), it's the same length as a capped BIC "Round Stic". I really like these pencils.

These are my favorite pencils to use! I’ve used these for years through high school and now in college! Very durable, erasers work amazingly, and they’re simply worth your money!

Only Mechanical Pencil You Will Ever Need
The only mechanical pencil I buy! The cushiony grip is so comfortable and it's wide diameter keeps my hand from cramping. The quality is so much better than using your typical wooden pencil.

Great pens
These are the best pencils ever! Erasers last longer and you can refill the lead. Love these!!!

Comfortable in your hand
Can be a problem to refill. Be prepared to click a lot before the new lead appears. And, towards the end of the lead, they wobble and are worthless, so you waste that last 1/2 inch. Also, watch lead sizes. I prefer .9, will settle for .7 and cannot abide .5 so make sure you check the size and don't order if you cannot find it listed. The lead sizes are not interchangeable. All that being said,they are so comfortable in the hand so the other stuff is mostly worth dealing with.

Larger lead and soft pencil grip
These pencils have been a saving grace for teens that tend to push too hard on a pencil and break standard mechanical pencil lead. The cushion grip makes it easier to hold for longer, and the thicker lead prevents breakage as often.
