BlueRigger cables have been consistently good for me.
After having purchased MANY types of audio, video, MIDI, etc. cables, I have found the BlueRigger brand has been consistently well made and functional with no problems with signal quality, connection or cable bending. If I need to choose between two like cables and one is made by BlueRigger, I select the BlueRigger.

I'm very impressed with this brand
This is the second BlueRigger HDMI cable I've purchased this year. There are a lot of brands of HDMI cables sold at Amazon, I have no idea if one is far superior to the other. These are digital cables, you either get a signal or not, I doubt if there is any validity in saying one HDMI cable is "better" than another in terms of signal quality. The primary criterion then would seem to be price vs perceived quality of construction. The first time I bought a BlueRigger cable it was because I needed a certain longer-than-normal length and BlueRigger was one of the few brands that sold that length. I had never heard of them previously. I had a concern about a technical issue that I forwarded to BlueRigger and I got an immediate, personal customer service from them. They even followed up a little while later to make sure my concern was answered. That kind of service is RARE, and especially surprising because they are not one of the most well-known cable companies in the world.Once again I chose BlueRigger because they were one of the few companies that offered the relatively rare length of 10', which is exactly what I needed to connect my media computer to my LED TV. The cable is identical in construction to the first cable I bought from them, which is to say, superb, especially for the price. Unlike most molded rubber cables, this one is encased in a very heavy duty braided material (note that I read somewhere many months ago that BlueRigger stopped making braided cables because of the extra cost, but that did not prove to be true with the one I received, as I stated it was identical to the first one I bought). The signal quality is perfect, the fit of the plug into the jack is snug and perfect and the sheathed cable give a feeling of confidence. The only tiny quibble (not enough to knock a star off) is that BlueRigger molds a rather thick layer of plastic/rubber around the plug ends. For 99% of applications this may not be an issue but when plugging in to my extremely slender LED TV that thickness almost made it too large to plug in. Fortunately it wasn't an issue for me for my components but I can visualize some applications where it might be an issue. If the edge of your HDMI jack is less than the thickness of 8 standard business cards from the frame surrounding it, there is a chance the cable plug may not fit. That is probably rare and the worst case scenario is that you would have to return an excellent cable. Note that BlueRigger also makes HDMI cables with the more standard flat cable ends.

Good quality works well. better than Amazon basic product
Anyone that uses HDMI cables will know, that pretty much under 15 feet they're all the same. The reality is that it's very hard to make a crappy short HDMI cable. However depending on the local interferences how a cable is designed may very.I had purchased a 10 foot long Amazon basic HDMI cable. I noticed that after I bought a brand-new monitor and a new video card I was still having some flutter which I was assuming was either the monitor refresh rate or the video cards frame rate. So I could not identify where the players coming from after changing various settings. I replaced the Amazon basic tables with these Blue Rigger, HDMI cables, and appears to have changed the problem, when I say changed the flutter has pretty much disappeared which mean there was some interference nearby that putting a heavier cable did resolve. Now I know what others may be thinking is there was a problem with the connections themselves. Rest assure prior to buying a new cable I checked the connections and check the proper drivers to make sure everything was working the way it should.PROS:good quality materialFit is solid and tightfair price.CONS:not very flexibleouter sheath is simply for show.Overview, the cable itself seems to be slightly thicker than some of the other ones of the same price category, it was considerably thicker than me and was on basic products. Why normally this should not affect the quality for the issue I was having it help resolve it which means there must be some quality difference between Amazon basics and these items here. I think the outer sheath doesn't do much of anything except make the item more rigid. I won't subtract a star for that, as any cable that is thicker will not be as flexible and I kind of knew that going in but it's something to note for those that may need flexibility in the connections. I was able to use a VESA mounted monitor and attached the cable to the brackets perfectly fine with enough flexibility so it is not that rigid just more rigid than the Amazon basic. It's a goodbye and the looks of the cable may add if they are being seen. Connections are tight and solid.

impressed
I ordered two of these cables, and was happy to see the quality of the material. The cable has a protective mesh coating, and has a gold plated connector. The only part of the build that I was a little upset with was the cable's end; the plug wiggled a bit.I hooked one of the cables from a computer into a surround sound receiver, and the other cable from the receiver to a television. After a week, the television was displaying a "Not Supported" signal. I quickly found that the cable coming from the receiver had stopped working. Considering I only had a single display with hdmi support, I was not positive that the cable was defective. I am still not sure why the television recognized the cable if it was not working.Another week later, I received an email, from Blue Rigger, inquiring about my satisfaction with the product. This surprised me, and made me happy, as most companies do not do this. I sent a return email explaining what had happened. Soon after, I received a new cable, which has been working ever since.I am not able to speak much on the durability because it has only been a short while. However, I am very impressed by the customer service, and completely satisfied by the product.I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CABLE
