I’m not sure what happened, I sprayed this on my beard and it’s like I entered a 80s inspired time machine. I love how this spray is specifically formulated to lock in hair fibers without leaving your beard crunchy, like when using aquanet hairspray.

This product does help the fibers stay in place better and I can get through a day without any noticeable loss of coverage. However, I have to be very careful not to let anything rub against the applied area like a jacket hood. If you touch the applied area, you still get fibers on your fingers. There is also some cologne like smell. It seems to fade after 2 hours or so, but it's not unscented. This is a pump bottle, not aerosol. I only use two pumps for a small area so the smell isn't too strong, but if you are using this over a large area it will definitely be noticeable by other people.

I read other reviews stating that the smell of this product was terrible, but I ignored them thinking "how bad could it be?" Truly, really, really bad. The smell of this product gave me a headache and a short period of labored breathing. The smell does dissipate after a while, but it was not a product I wanted to use again; once was enough.

After I apply Toppik and this spray, I use a hair dryer to expedite the setting process. Probably not necessary but works well.
