## Description

ST-M2A1347 is used to covert M.2 M-Key SSD as SSD for late 2014 year Mac Mini A 1347 MEGEN2XX/A MEGEM2XX/A MEGEQ2XX/A

Review: Easy to fit and it 'just works' - Running Big Sur on my late 2014 8GB Mac Mini was almost impossible - it was constantly swapping to disk and taking 10-20sec to open applications. So I used this board to fit a fast SSD (Crucial P2 CT1000P2SSD8 1 TB Internal SSD) and now the system runs like a train. Wasn't hard to fit, but you do need to get hold of a tiny ('T6') size Torx security bit - the type with a hole in the middle - in order to get the lid off the case. Further disassembly is thankfully not necessary.
Review: Great upgrade - Fitted into our old Mac Mini 2014 and has breathed new life into it when paired with a crucial NvME drive. Make sure you get some security torx drivers to get into the Mini tho’

## Features

- Only compatibility With:Later 2014 year Mac Mini A1347 MEGEN2XX/A MEGEM2XX/A MEGEQ2XX/A
- NOT fit 2010-2013 year Mac Mini A1347
- Notice: The Nvme SSD only work for Mac OS HiSierra or above systerm

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this support 4 lanes on the Mac mini 2014?**
A: yes,it support 4X lanes.

best regards
sintech cn

**Q: Do I need this if i already have a fusion drive installed in my mac mini late 2014 (i.e to install an m.2 ssd like the crucial p2?)**
A: If you have a fusion drive already it will have this as a fusion drive part M.2 part HDD /SSD underneath this which you need to disassemble the whole Mac to access the bottom drive , A 1.12TB showing is a 128GB M.2 and a1TB drive . Easy to find out just open the back off and you should see it on top at the back

**Q: Which nvme ssds are compatible with this in a mac mini 2014?**
A: Support Adata NVMe SSD : SX6000, SX7000, SX8200, SX8200 Pro etc,Corsair : MP500, MP510,Crucial : P1,HP: ex920, ex950
Intel 600p, 660p, 760p,Toshiba XG3-XG4-XG5-XG5p-XG6 line,Samsung: 960 Evo, 960 Pro, 970 Evo, 970 Pro,WD:v1, v2 and v3,MyDigital: SBX - BPX ....Etc

**Q: Hello, i need this converter to upgrade my mac mini 2014 and i have bought a crucial ssd 1tb mx500 m.2 type 2280. it will work or need something else?**
A: No expert, but I think the SSD you have bought has a hard drive form factor, and may be suitable as a direct replacement for the internal spinning disk drive provided as part of the 2014 mac mini. The Simtech adaptor is suitable for the 'blade' type of SSD. The one I bought and installed was the Crucial P2 CT1000P2SSD8 1 TB Internal SSD, Up to 2400 MB/s (3D NAND, NVMe, PCIe, M.2). This one fits the Simtech adaptor and can be installed by removing the bottom cover of the Mac Mini. For that you need a Torx screwdriver like this one or similar -E.Durable Torx Security T6 Screwdriver TR6 for Mac Mini (2014-2018 Models) HDD/SSD MacBook Pro.
If you need to access the spinning disk hard drive you need to go deeper into the structure and there are risks I believe to the inexperienced technician. I would suggest you look at the forums on the Macrumors website where you can find very detailed advice. The blade type of SSD gives amazing results. Maybe you should consider returning yours and replacing it with the blade version. This is my opinion and experience, but get a second opinion or read the Macrumors forums first.
