Great Coffee, Keeps it Reasonably Hot
Update: After three weeks of use, here's what I can tell you. This press has totally replaced my classic Bodum French press, which has been relegated to basement storage. My initial impression that it was harder to clean than the Bodum one was wrong. Actually, it's easier to clean and I never have to worry about breaking it. My annoyance that it didn't keep the coffee as hot as other reviewers promised (whoever said it keeps coffee hot four hours is lying) has totally faded because the coffee is delicious. While it does not keep the coffee hot like a thermos would, it does keep it nice and fresh and hot if you want to make a press and have it on the table throughout a leisurely breakfast while reading the newspaper or whatever. So, overall, I do stand by my bottom line. Great coffee, might not be worth the extra for the double-wall vacuum-sealed, but I can't see going back to my old press again. Original review below: I bought this after reading a NYTimes Wirecutter review of French Presses. I’ve used a classic Bodum press for two decades, but after reading about the potential cholesterol raising effects of unfiltered coffee, was looking for an alternative. I use a Clever for single-cup filtered coffee, but most days I want to brew more than one cup at a time. Enter the Espro. And as long as I was upgrading, why not go all in with the double-wall vacuum insulated model? This could be my leisurely weekend coffee maker. Well, the coffee is great, but the added expense of the double-wall, vacuum insulation is not at all worth it. Kept the coffee moderately hot for one hour. After two hours, it was unpleasantly cold. I thought this would spare me the need to decant into a thermos, thereby saving me some clean up. But since there are so more parts to the filtration system than a typical press, it’s more of a pain to clean up, and doesn’t keep the coffee very hot. Bottom line: Great filtration, but the glass or non vacuum sealer metal versions would suffice. The top of the line version doesn’t deliver on keeping coffee hot long enough to justify the high price tag.

Nice, pricey but worth it.
Love this pot--keeps coffee hot for hours, traps even the tiny sediment so coffee doesn't get bitter, and looks very nice, IMO. Made well, and feels substantial Appreciated the matte finish, too. Worth the splurge...I think it will last a very long time.

Super Nice
This French press lives up to the hype. Super nice build, not cheap feeling in any way. It replaced a small glass French press and the difference in the taste of the coffee is dramatic. This holds the temperature longer which make a big difference and the screens work very well at keeping the coffee fines out of the pour, little to none at the bottom of the cup. Extremely pleased.

Better filter shape to avoid wasting a coup or more every use.
It's very nice and does a good job. But it could be more efficient though. The last 10 ounces or more are always left in the press and impossible to pour it out. A better filter design is warranted. Instead of a solid flat bottom press suggest a more cone shape. That should allow all the coffee to be poured out instead of wasting a cup every use.

Best french press no doubt
Great quality, easy to clean, amazing filter... Worth every penny because the cheaper ones usually starts to feel weird soon

It’s nice but there some downsides.
I’ve used this for about a month now. I like the outer steel container. It’s heavy duty and looks nice. The coffee tastes good, and it does stay warm for longer than my old glass French press. The downsides are that both filters are plastic, and the rim appears to be silicone. It’s extra work cleaning both filters and my worry is that the silicone rim will show signs of wear eventually and need to be replaced. So far it is holding up fine, but the Bodum French press filters were all stainless still and would never really need to be replaced (no plastic). The Bodum French press filter was also simpler to clean quickly compared to this multi layer filter that must be taken apart each time. The other little downside for me the large size. The 32oz is really big… it can actually hold about twice as much coffee as my old Bodum. If my partner also drank coffee in the morning this press would be perfect. But just for me, it’s way too big and it’s hard to see the measuring lines on the inside of the container. Finally, when I pour out the coffee, there is always quite a lot of coffee still in the container trapped with all the grounds which is a waste. You can get most of the coffee out by pulling up the plunger, picking up the container and pushing the plunger down again as you pour. But it’s kind of annoying. I wanted to treat myself to a really nice FP. Overall, this is a nice press, but I’m not in love with it. I did love my glass Bodum but my Bodum would break up with me every year or so. My search for the perfect FP continues on.

Good quality, lasts longer than glass french presses
I've had it now for a couple years. I upgraded from a glass french press which would crack on me annually. I'm pleased this one continues to serve me well.

it clears all the grains and leaves a real coffee flavour of the country of origin of the coffee. It doesn't hurt your stomach because it takes out all the coffee powder.

Makes an amazing cup of coffee. I found that you need an electric coffee grinder for the coffee grounds. However, even if you do have properly ground coffee, you still end up with same in the bottom of your cup. In the 32 ounce press, you end up with 3 large cups of coffee. The press keeps coffee moderately warm. However, this Press is very sturdy and does not break like glass and in my opinion, very much worth the price. You may need to replace the filter down the road. With the above being said, I still believe it makes an amazing cup of coffee, and am very happy with my purchase. I believe, you get what you pay for!!

Sadly, I found this cafetière wastes coffee because the fine filter stops the last of the brew from pouring out. I say sadly because, in all other respects, this is an excellent product. Very fine filter, excellent tight fitting lid, excellent insulation. But, alas, this wasn’t quite the right size for me.

During a morning, a bunch of pirates tried to attack our ship. Whilst they were closing in on us, we started to brew a cup of coffee in this bad boy. Whilst the pirates were climbing unto our ship we hit them with this coffee brewing constructed tank. The pirates fell off en we still got to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. Really recommend this for defeating pirates and amazing coffee.
