I've just bought my second batch of this stuff. It's stopped my last two migraines dead in their tracks. I was getting horrible migraines the last few months--intense, mind numbing pain that made it near impossible to talk, move or listen to anything. Accompanied by intense nausea so that I couldn't eat or drink anything (not even water) and I couldn't smell anything either or I would vomit. And the vomiting is projectile and violent and won't stop once you start. And all of this went on for 12-14 hrs at a time! In desperation I went looking for a remedy (ibuprofen just causes a rebound migraine and makes the whole experience last several hours longer). I try to live as naturally as possible due to multiple problems caused by too many prescription meds in my past.I am SO happy I found this stuff! It doesn't completely make the migraine disappear, but it cuts it drastically to make the headache no more than a nuisance, no nausea and it's gone completely much quicker. This is only if you take it at the start of the migraine. I take the prescription drug at the onset of a migraine and then 20 minutes later if the migraine doesn't stop. Gel Stat says take at the onset of a migraine and a second dose 20 minutes later and it did stop the migraine cold. It stayed gone for 16 hours and then I dosed again. Currently it works it's far better than sticking $120 under your tong every couple of days.I've ordered another small box to keep testing it. No need for it over a two day period and that's a record for me. Be careful it is a natural vascular constrictor so it has the same effect on your heart. If you have heart disease or stints my personal opinion don't do any vigorous physical activity for many hours after taking it.Many chronic migraine sufferers already know that meds only work for so long and then your body adjusts and what worked, doesn't anymore. I suspect whether it works on any particular migraine depends on how soon it is taken in the migraine process and perhaps on the number of factors supporting the development of the migraine (e.g., if it's bad weather for a headache plus she has gone to bed really late and eaten a lot of sweets the day before, there's no stopping that migraine). Not taking ibuprofen (her neurologist's only recommendation) for 2/3 of the migraines she would have taken ibuprofen for is really a great advantage in my book; I really think ingesting some ginger and feverfew instead is great. Also much of the time it cures the headache right away (I think research data shows that for people using GelStat something like 75% of them get relief in the first half hour or even shorter, and the remainder who get relief feel it within a couple hours).
