Love this comb-No tangles and pretty too!

This is a great comb... it's expensive but well worth it. The teeth are smooth and don't catch in my fine hair. I did finally break one of the teeth after perhaps 15 years of using my comb. While it's absolutely still usable I'm happily replacing it with this same comb.

What can I say, I'm in love with this comb; it's the Mercedes of hair tools. When it arrived and I pulled it out of the packaging, I was so amazed by the quality and the finish. It is like holding a piece of amber in your hands. It is beautiful and completely smooth with no edges. I bought this comb because I wanted a comb that would have no sharp edges that can damage the hair while combing it (especially when it's wet, because hair is most delicate when it's wet), and this comb is perfect. It was a bit pricey, and I was on the fence about spending so much money on a comb, but combing your hair can literally strip the cuticle off your hair if you use the wrong kind and use it the wrong way. This comb is everything I was expecting and more. It truly is like a piece of art, but more importantly, it will greatly help you reduce the damage to your hair and to me, it's worth it.

I have Afro-textured hair and I was on the hunt for a comb with wider, larger teeth so that it can detangle my hair without damaging it in the process and I found it in this comb! It's just the right size for a comb, is excellent quality, and rinsing hair products from the teeth is a breeze as well. If your hair is thick and/or has a tight curl pattern to it, then you should strongly consider this comb!

I bought three of these combs for Christmas present and one for myself. After my comb started loosing teeth, I asked the recipients how their combs were holding up and every one of them has teeth missing on their combs. The picture shows what happened when I packed my comb (that already had about 3 or 4 teeth missing) in a zippered pouch in a suitcase. I can’t imagine why it lost an addition 6 teeth (nothing else was damaged) but I wanted to post the picture as a warning. I did purchase a new MP comb and also replaced MP combs for my gift recipients. I went with the “detangler” model this time. I hope they last longer. Disappointed because they’re supposed to be high quality.

I can't rave about this comb enough. I had a plastic comb that I had been using for 20+ years and never realized what I was missing. I bought this because I stumbled upon it by accident. Didn't know Mason Pearson make a comb. I had heard about the brushes, but since I don't use brushes on my curly hair, I was happy I never had to shell out big money for the brush. I bought this comb, which is VERY expensive for a comb, and I have not regretted it. What an amazing experience it is combing my hair now. It massages my scalp. Doesn't ruin my curls (I have loose curls, fine hair). It feels like I'm treating myself every time I use it. I will never be without it. I only regret not buying it sooner.
