I have major trouble sleeping, but I can't take sleeping medications b/c I get a paradoxical reaction to them - they make me stay awake. I did a lot of research and came up with a safe alternative to prescription meds. FIrst, there's Melatonin that helps you to relax, so I take that at night. Secondly, I take GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) which is a reparative for the neurological system, and has done wonders for me with my sleep as well as for a neurological disorder that I have. Then, the last in the trio of my assault on my sleeping problems is two capsules of L-Theanine at bedtime. It potentiates the Melatonin and the GABA, so I get a very decent night's sleep that is restful (FINALLY!!) and of many more hours duration than I previously had. I love this product b/c of what it safely does for me. Also, it is kosher, which is a concern for me.

Theanine is a great product to keep you in a good mood. This brand is good. If you take together with Gaba-Tyrosine and L-Tryptophane every day, you will never again be depressed, nervous, unhappy or panicked. 1 month of this combination is enough to make you happy. Later don't stop. Better if you don't drink and avoid busters like cocaine, amphetamines or even Prozac :) Do not underestimate my suggestion, I experimented on myself and I'm not in this business.

Cannot do without this supplement. It promotes calmness and focus. I take one with my morning coffee for the best start to the day.

I am a different person after receiving my L-theanine. I have bad anxiety symptoms as a result of post concussion syndrome. L-theanine has helped lower my anxiety levels therefore making it easier to cope with. I take L-theanine at night when I'm too anxious to sleep and it works wonders. On a really bad night I take it together with melatonin.

Theanine is awesome and so is Solgar. Makes you feel just slightly relaxed. I like to take it before sleep. Good to take if you drink coffee which it's known to work well with. Comes in a glass bottle which I don't like, but - oh well, so do all Solgar products apparently. I trust Solgar to make high quality products.

Solgar vitamins are the only vitamins I take. They all actually do what I want them to do. I’ve had several doctors recommend this brand to me and I love it

What ever happened to the good old days when the doctor would give you some Valium or Xanax to get through a rough patch? Well those days are gone, so L-the anime is as good as it gets.. Not quite as good as the aforementioned products but it sure helps!

I bought these usually work for me. The brand is good and found that they’re pricier than some others but the quality is better. However, I was disappointed when I opened the bottle and a couple of the pills had nothing in them? It was just the capsule ….

Not sure if it’s placebo, but L-theanine genuinely makes my workdays feel less stressful. I feel calmer, more level-headed, and like I can handle whatever the day throws at me - it’s effective. That said, Solgar feels expensive for what it is. The quality seems solid, though: a lot of cheaper alternatives have bulking agents, and I don’t often see those in Solgar products. Not sure whether that’s a big deal, but it’s something I appreciate.

Me tomo una o dos pastillas al día y me ayuda con la ansiedad. Estoy más tranquila. No tiene efectos secundarios. Lo único que he notado es que mi sueño es más ligero desde que me tomo las pastillas. Tengo un reloj que me mira las fases del sueño cada noche y desde que me tomo teanina tengo menos sueño profundo y menos fases REM. Aun así me ayuda con la ansiedad, así que creo que es un buen producto. Demasiado caro, por eso.

This was recommended to me as my husband was under quite a lot of pressure and neither of us were sleeping well. We take one in the morning and one in the evening and have both felt a lot calmer and slept between 6-8 hours a night and feel quite refreshed on waking. It also seems to work on a digestive level too and keep everything moving. There don't appear to be any side effects and I believe it's very supportive of the adrenal glands which can become exhausted with stress- since the adrenals, walnut sized glands on top of the kidneys, are involved in every bodily function from brain, to liver, heart, hormones etc and we wouldn't survive without them, it's good to know this supplement is helping keep them healthy. There is a lot written about adrenal fatigue and it's part in the rise of obesity( being stuck in famine/survival mode) and many ot the diseases of the last 100 years, so I was very pleased to find this supplement which we've been taking for 2 months and as well as the above, it seems to have helped to stabilise my husbands blood pressure at a safe level
