Exactly what I expected, works great for my application.
So far so good, the power supply works well for my application. No concerns with operating temperature, only seems to get lukewarm. I think if you need a 60w 12v power supply at a fair price this one would be a good choice. One note, the power supply came with a caution to not use in a wet environment, i.e. indoor use only.

Perfect Match With Lepai 2020A+ 20w digital Amp
The power supply that came with the Lepai 2020A+ digital amp was not powerful enough to get the signal to the outdoor speakers over a long (25+mts) speaker cable run. Other buyers had mentioned the benefits of buying a 5amp power supply to replace the stock one. That is sound advice indeed. This power supply made a huge difference to sound quality and overall musical detail (although we are not talking high end sound here, just to clarify). It does the job well and without any heat. Listening to music outdoors is a pleasure now and it amazes me each time I think of how little it cost me to set it up.

Order many because they seem to fail frequently...
These adapters are perfect for what they are designed to do, however, the longevity of operational use varies widely and I'm not sure why. I've had several (at least 5) fail within a month of being put into service and it doesn't matter when the unit was manufactured. I keep at least 6 on hand because of the failure rate, but, as I said they deliver precisely what they are designed to until failure.

Custom GameCube Power Supply
Bought one of these power supplies to use with an Nintendo GameCube. Chopped the end off a GameCube and this power supply and soldered the two pieces together. Works perfectly and the green LED light indicator is nice to have to let you know the power supply is doing it's thing unlike the GameCube's power supply. This power supply has 12VDC @ 5A which is more than enough for the GameCube which requires 12VDC @ 3.25A. Also, this power supply is a much smaller than the bulky GameCube power supply. If you're in the market for a good power supply ... take a good look at this one ... it's definitely a quality power supply!

This power supply has a lot of uses
The power supply for my outdoor LED sidewalk lights burned out and I could not get a replacement. I needed at least a 10 watt supply. I hooked this up to a timer because the old supply had a photo cell. I also had to cut off the tv connector and splice the wires to the wire from my lights. On my system, the polarity did not matter but you should check it to be sure. Plugged it in and worked great. The only issue may be the lack of being waterproof. I have it in a plastic bag, but you could probably seal it with silicone sealer. Good value for the money.

This did NOT work with my Lepai 2020A+
I'm giving this adapter three stars because it didn't work with my Lepai amp. For other uses, it may be just fine.I bought this adapter for use with a Lepai 2020A+ amplifier. I bought the amplifier from Parts Express but I ordered the adapter from Amazon.I bought it because there were numerous reviewers who'd successfully used this adapter with their Lepai. However, it didn't work for me. When I plugged it in, the Lepai's blue light turned on for a second, then faded.I am now using the stock charger that came with the Lepai. I find the Lepai less powerful than I was expecting. So I'm disappointed overall. I'm going to try to find another more powerful adapter but I'm confused about what adapters will work, since this one didn’t.

Perfect for Butterfly Labs Jalapeño Miner
I'm going to be clear. I wasn't expecting much from this little guy but it really works like a charm! Its sleek and really nice looking for an adapter! It took me some time (Approximately 4 weeks) to write the review because i had to test it.Now , onto the use i give to this little guy. It was for a BUTTERFLY LABS JALAPEÑO MINER . The version of 5 Gh/s. It gives the amount of power necessary to keep it running smoothly.Mine wasn't overclocked but it worked really well.As always, document yourself completely before buying, not after.Feel free to ask any questions about it or about the configuration for the BFL MINER

Gets it done for the Lepai 2020A+
I went looking for inexpensive 12v power supplies for a project, and ran across the reviews for this one. Many people here mentioned using it with the Lepai 2020A+, which I have several of, so I bought a few extra to try it out.Con: the barrel length of the jack is too long for the Lepai, so the connection is flimsier than I like.Pro: I'd been feeding the Lepai 12v at 2A max before; technically that's enough since I never turn the amp to full, but the Lepai would sound vague occasionally, lose details and get lost on both heavy bass and transients. (The speakers are VMPS - anything the amp does wrong, the speakers are going to reveal.) This little adapter made a very noticeable difference. It's probably overkill - a 20W amp shouldn't need a 60W supply - but it's uncommon that a $7.40 upgrade makes a discernible audio difference. The adapter runs cool and silent. Cords are reasonable lengths. Recommended.
