desertcart.com: The Tyrant's Tomb: The Trials of Apollo Series, Book 4 (Audible Audio Edition): Robbie Daymond, Rick Riordan, Listening Library: Audible Books & Originals Review: What a riveting continuation of the Apollo Set - If you love mythology, history, culture, romance, and some good old fashion war with a plethora of plucky teenagers. This is your series. Now, start at the beginning because this is book 4 if you haven’t already. For those ready to dive in - this is just a fluid continuation of Riordan’s work. He never ceases to surprise me and every page turn has me on the edge of my mental seat. He creates an easy read - with characters you already know and love (if you follow his work like I have) but you can also jump in with cold feet and experience this series separate from the rest. Apollo - is a Greek god. He has many talents but among everything he is a boastful and proud god. Therefore, it comes as no shock that his father (Zues) chooses to punish him by making him a puny human. Yes, we are a fragile bunch of beings compared to the immortal life of a god. On his set of adventures through Riordan’s work we face Roman’s of old who have worked their way into our modern times and pose threat to life as we know it. They are the worst of the worst and it is a sacrifice these teens make to keep the rest of us normals safe. But no matter, despite how dire things always seem, the wit and sheer will of this group will surpass all odds and have you rooting for them even in the darkest pits of hell. You know, where Hades rules. So, pick it up, continue in your journey, and wait oh so impatiently for the next book to arrive... Review: A class of its own - Rick Riordan has made his own genre with his fantastic books of mythology in the present day, crossed with ADHD teens and wit. Riordan blends all these parts so well you are simply immersed in the story, laughing throughout and enjoying the ride. These books surpass the competition with their depth of storytelling, characters, light delivery, joyful spirit, great plot and action. This Apollo series is no exception and may be my favourite. Apollo is such a great character for continuous humour, pathos and growth, as he navigates the mortal world as an arrogant fallen god suffering as an unattractive pimply teen. The (bad) poetry of this former poetry god is just so funny. Seeing the world through his eyes and some lovely moments in this book soothes some of the tragedy in this story, although I still can’t get over that this series killed off a major hero of other books. Apollo’s growth in this book is delightful. Although, this growth didn’t lead quite where I expected with the calling of a god. I thought it may be self fulfilling. Nope. He is, contrarily, getting both more godly and more human. Apollo’s character does overshadow the rest, who could do with more development. I feel like Meg is a forgotten main character. It’s hard rating these books because they are in a class of their own, where you end up comparing them to other Riordan books, rather than the industry norms. They are all simply shades of five stars. Five stars for another highly recommended Riordan series.

Wow... this book sure was a whirlwind! I finished it in a day I just couldn’t get enough of it! The amount of tears I shed and the amount of laughs I had. It’s all coming to a close Leo and Calypso found a home in Waystation. Nico has found his place at camp Half-Blood with Will. Percy and Annabeth are planning to goto college in New Rome together. Hazel and Frank are the new praetors and are rebuilding Camp Jupiter. Piper is finding herself. RIP Jason😭 Reyna’s heart is healed and is starting her new journey with the hunters of Artemis. Meg is healing and Apollo is learning and reflecting. It’s far from over but it’s all coming together.😭❤️ My favorite quote’s “Have you completely made up for all the bad things you've done? No. But you keep adding to the good things column. That's all any of us can do.” “The only difference between a satyr and a faun,” I said, “is what we see in them. And what they see in themselves. Plant this tree somewhere special.” I looked up at the dryads. “Tend it and make it grow healthy and tall. This was Don the faun, a hero.” P.S. HOW DARE YOU RICK! How dare you scare us into thinking Frank was dead!😭😭😭 I mean like I wouldn’t like it any other way now that I understand why it needs to be done. BUT STILL MY HEART!! AND DON THE FAUN MY HEART!!😭😭

Very Good Book
Thr fourth installment, shining as brightly as the other three, continues the infinite cycle. I personally would mark this as a suspense/fantasy. The plot was engaging, and a lot of the chabges in the book were unseen. I found Apollo/Lester developing more once again. It's definitely an interesting process based on the character. When we thing Riordan has exausted his pool of monsters, he pulls a rabbit (or a zombie) out of a hat. He keeps things fresh, and never ceases to describe them well, allowing readers to become more enlighted about the world of myth. He also refrences pop culture, like with the 'Wakanda thing'. He keeps the story from drifting off into a completely different world, and keeps the setting what it is: the modern world One of the things I noticed was that there were a few myth-related mistakes. One example is when Reyna, my favorite roman character, (second to Percy and Annabeth, who have won our hearts) refers to Calypso's island, rather than Circe's. There was at least one more. I get that it can be hard to keep the myths straight, but I noticed the book was released a month and a half early. He could've rushed it to please fans, or he could've just had a couple mix-ups. Whatever the case, I reccomend the book for readers as young as 9-10 and the once-teenager that read the Lightning Theif the first month. The book itself was very good, and continued the saga well. A definite recommendation to all avid readers, young and old. That's all I have to say. Enjoy the book!

This book, personaly is my favourite in the series , yet. This Megful adventure contains several familiar faces, from Camp Jupiter. Apollo adventures through mountains and extremely long hikes and realises how much he sucks. He meets people whom were treated badly by himself when he was an ignorant God. Apollo reaises his mistakes and I love how meaningful this book is along wth its hilariousness. Apollo understands the true meaning of family and cherishes it. The arrow of Dodana returns with more wise (cough cough) comments that helped Apollo throughout the adventure. Marvellous book. Read it today. It is amazing. Rick Riordan has truly done it again! :) (
